Mother’s Day falls on Sunday, May 12 this year, which means that you get an entire weekend to celebrate the everyday heroine in your life. To thank mum for all her work, effort and sacrifice, we think that there’s no better way to put her feet up than a grand meal filled with moreish treats and sweeter desserts. Come the month of May, Skai on the 70th floor of Swissôtel the Stamford will be decked out in Swarovski’s latest Mother’s Day jewellery collection, with a sumptuous high tea experience to accompany the glittering crystals. Curated by executive chef Seumas Smith and executive pastry chef Yong Ming Choong, the exclusive high tea from May 1 to 31 features savoury stunners such as a king crab sablé and bluefin tuna served with caviar and crème fraîche, as well as sweet treats taking cues from Swarovski’s house codes. Take the hazelnut praline yuzu vanilla choux, in the shape of the jeweler’s iconic swan logo, or the raspberry rose mascarpone sablé crowned with a pink diamond-shaped jelly, one of the house’s signature colours.
