Mirror frames, side tables, coasters—you name it, it’s getting a tile re-vamp. While it is certainly a hands-on project, DIY tiling requires minimal tools making it a safe, accessible, yet engaging project. The result is an easy-to-clean piece that easily introduces a pop of texture to your space, though the wonderfully meditative feel of tiling videos doesn’t hurt, either.

Perhaps it's the brewing longing for the great outdoors after years of being trapped at home, or the calming atmosphere that the colour invites, but shades of green are steadily making their way into homes across the Internet. This is especially the case with the heart of the home, the kitchen—monotonous, all-white interiors are a thing of the past, evidenced by the stylish, green-rich kitchens of Kendall Jenner and Dakota Johnson as early as 2020.

3. Backsplash Ledges

Although floating shelves have been trending for a while now, backsplash ledges, in particular, are booming in popularity, both in the kitchen and the bathroom. By extending your existing backsplash into a long ledge above the countertop, you add an easy-to-access storage option that effortlessly blends into your existing design while freeing up more counter space. Furthermore, it adds interesting height and layers to the collection of items on display. Adorn the ledge with ornamental items like plants and framed artwork, as well as oft-used tools that double as decors like salt and pepper mills, a mortar and pestle, or candles.

Elegant and timeless, classic white plates will always be a staple. However, colourful, funky glassware is entering the mainstream. Perfect for picnics and garden parties, tinted glasses can contribute pops of colour and to an otherwise flat table setting while also adding a personal feel when you mix and match different colours for different guests. Meanwhile, funky shapes and silhouettes revitalise the table with a unique eccentricity, once again satiating our appetite for intriguing textures.
