The elegant private dining room seats eight guests, providing an exclusive setting for intimate gatherings. For a truly immersive experience, the Chef’s Table, adjacent to the open kitchen, accommodates up to five guests. 3. Magistracy Dining Room

Nestled within the Magistracy Dining Room, The Ruby Room is a newly renovated private space that boasts a small terrace where Hong Kong’s judicial elite once retreated to meditate. Perfect for intimate gatherings, it can accommodate four guests and upwards, offering a serene and exclusive dining experience. 4. Ami

Above The Salon
The refined Parisian bistro Ami offers three private dining options. For the art-inclined, The Gallery has two rooms (for four or six guests) which can be combined (for 14 people). Here, the walls are lined with light-hearted paintings for a more approachable atmosphere. The Salon provides another private space with six sets of custom-made furniture that can be interlocked into a single setting (for 16 guests), or an assortment of tables (for 18 guests). As for the menu, visitors can opt for a la carte or a menu curated by the chef.
5. Belon

The dining experience at Belon already feels fairly intimate thanks to curved corners and ambient lighting. Going one step further, the sophisticated space can be partitioned with thick drapes for a more private occasion. The chef will then work his magic and curate a bespoke menu for the event. The rest of the team will then take care of your every need and you can focus on the superbly executed French-inspired cuisine. Private dining (up to 14 guests) and the entire venue are available (up to 30-35 guests) to hire for any occasion.
6. Hansik Goo

Hansik Goo’s neutral and minimalist interior fuses traditional elements with a contemporary design. The walls are gently accented with artwork and the private dining rooms display Korean artist Lee Bae’s Brushstroke series. Tucked away at the back, the two rooms can be combined, giving you privacy in a modern and flexible space (for up to 20 guests). A set menu with pre-ordered dishes is required to ensure smooth service that features delightful modern Korean cuisine.
7. Man Ho

The restaurant has five flexible private dining spaces (accommodating from six to 20 guests) featuring a relaxed and contemporary design.

8. Petrus

When it comes to French fine dining, Island Shangri-La’s Petrus offers one of the most opulent settings in Hong Kong and, naturally, the two private rooms also present grand interiors to dine in. Aptly named the Burgundy and Alsace Room (for 15 and 40 people respectively), both rooms come with phenomenal views of the harbour in which a tailor-made menu can be curated.
9. The Legacy House

The Legacy House offers seven private dining spaces (for up to 22 guests) and each room is a celebration of key milestones in the founding family patriarch Dr Cheng Yu-tung’s life. One dining room honours his journey into the world of jewellery while another commemorates the time he bought his first champion racehorse. All rooms provide ample space for events with impressive interiors and artwork along with excellent views of Victoria Harbour. As for food and drink, the team will craft a special Cantonese menu and a dedicated sommelier can also be arranged.

10. Wing

Modern Chinese restaurant Wing has two elegant private rooms that can be combined and one semi-private room (all spaces accommodate up to eight guests) with balconies overlooking the city and harbour. The restaurant’s jewel-hued interiors and opulent furnishings make for a contemporary setting with Chinese elements dotted around the restaurant. A tailored tasting menu created is available upon request for all private room bookings.
11. Xin Rong Ji

Xin Rong Ji offers a sophisticated dining experience for its guests and the private room is no different. Filled with wooden furnishings, soft beige carpet, and the odd bonsai tree, Xin Rong Ji’s private dining room is spacious and comfortable, allowing the Taizhou cuisine and signature seafood dishes to shine. Guests can expect polished service and personalised menus here but don’t forget to request the Peking duck, which is carved tableside, as it must be pre-ordered.
