Italian chef Antimo Maria Merone has opened Estro, his first solo restaurant in collaboration with Yenn Wong of Jia Group
Antimo Maria Merone’s long awaited restaurant—opened in collaboration with Jia Group—came at an opportune moment when international travel was largely suspended. André Fu’s magnificent design portrays Merone’s playground as a sophisticated Italian salotto, and the menu reimagines humble Neapolitan dishes as haute cuisine. The pasta genovese, for example, is exemplary in its simplicity and complexity of flavour gleaned primarily from slow-cooked Montoro onions. A plush and highly accomplished restaurant that showcases the pinnacle of Italian cuisine.
