Despite challenges, 2021 proved that the city was awash with exciting new restaurants opening every month—here’s what we’re looking forward to in 2022

New year, new meals is Tatler Dining's mantra for 2022, with a slew of fresh restaurant openings that are on our radar. They come off the back of a surprisingly stellar year for new restaurants, with 2021 seeing a significant number of major openings from veteran chefs, from Vicky Cheng’s Wing to Antimo Maria Merone’s Estro. In between, neighbourhoods and dining hubs alike have welcomed intriguing independent restaurants, like Posso in Kau U Fong and Percy’s in Soho, while we also saw the comeback of familiar names, from Belon to Ho Lee Fook.

This year is set to be another big one for those who love to eat, with new projects by award-winning chefs and flagship openings at iconic institutions. Check back frequently for our continuously updating list of 2022’s most exciting new restaurants.
