Restaurant
22 Ships
Experience modern tapas with beautiful presentation at this hip restaurant on Ship Street
Tatler Says
On a street packed with competing eateries, 22 Ships holds its own. The space is small but lively, with indoor-outdoor window seating and an interior designed around a central bar where chefs prepare dishes. From tapas to larger ‘platos’, traditional Spanish food with a modern twist delights the palate with every bite. The carabinero paella is perhaps the most visually striking dish, but the smaller bites steal the show. The uni and rusa toast and the gambas al ajillo are standouts, and both the red and white sangria are delicious. To finish, we highly recommend the Basque burnt cheesecake.
Signature Dishes
- Sickling pig
- Carabinero paella
- Uni and rusa toast
Tatler Tip
The window seating is less comfortable in warm weather and they don’t take reservations, so we recommend turning up early.
