For the inaugural Tatler Best of Malaysia 2026, we unveil the 20 outstanding restaurants that have set the standard for excellence, innovation, and unforgettable dining experiences across the country.

Malaysia’s vibrant dining scene continues to evolve, shaped by a deep respect for heritage, a spirit of innovation, and an ever-expanding appreciation for quality ingredients. From intimate farm-to-table experiences to bold, boundary-pushing fine dining, the country’s top restaurants are redefining what it means to dine well—where flavour, hospitality, and ambience come together to create something truly memorable.

Since its inception in 1993, the Tatler Dining Guide has remained a trusted compass for discerning diners, offering an unranked curation of must-visit restaurants. This year, the guide embraces a new approach, incorporating insights from a panel of industry experts and tastemakers who nominated and voted for the most interesting, influential, and inspiring dining establishments. This shift has not only broadened the scope of featured restaurants but has also set the stage for the introduction of Tatler Best Restaurants Asia, a definitive selection of the region’s top 100 dining destinations.

With an emphasis on both excellence and diversity, the Tatler Best 20 Restaurants list highlights the very best of Malaysia’s culinary landscape—where every detail, from the first bite to the last farewell, is designed to leave a lasting impression.
