All you need to know about Kuala Lumpur's latest food haven with new offerings from some of Malaysia's top chefs

If you're looking for the next unique dining destination in Kuala Lumpur, check out Artisan's Playground. A food hall featuring a slew of micro restaurants, it also hosts a coffee roaster, an artisan's workshop, a fine Japanese knives vendor and even show kitchens. 

Familiar names are further enticement—think Raymond Tham of Beta KL and Skillet 163, Diego Reali of Natalina Italian Kitchen and Bocado, and the team from iconic Chinese restaurant, Extra Super Tanker.

Tucker is an all-day breakfast and brunch eatery, inspired by Australia’s café culture. Think breakfast tapas and light eats like eggplant tempura with tomato kasundi, hotcakes with orange curd, berries compote, crushed pistachio and maple syrup, and corn fritters with paprika yoghurt, couscous tabouli, poached egg and sumac for a great start to your day.

Tucker’s sister eatery, Mabel is inspired by Melbourne’s cuisine but with a focus on sharing plates and punchy flavours. This casual diner is open for lunch and dinner, and serves creamy chilli clams and mussels, Mabel’s fried chicken with mint-tofu mayonnaise, pickled chilli relish and crispy curry leaves, and crab and pea risotto with Shimeji mushrooms.

In the coming months, there will be a number of events happening, from live music performances to coffee workshops. Watch out for the Sarawak Peppercorn Workshop on June 26 and the Mediterranean Summer Affair on June 27.
