Christmas is just a few weeks away, which means it is time to plan your holiday meals. If you are staying in Singapore, indulge in sumptuous classics exclusively created for this period—think Angus steak with truffle purée, pan-seared scallops with pumpkin and brandy fruit cake. To get you started, here are some of the best Christmas menus to look forward to.

1. Edge

Look forward to a range of festive and international delights, including herb-roasted turkey, beef prime ribs, and Virginia ham pizza. Its foie gras slider is a must-try and consists of a rich and buttery foie gras topped with passion fruit apple chutney and chive crème fraiche. To finish, it’s encased within pillowy brioche buns for good measure. Save room for desserts—specifically the traditional minced fruit pie, chocolate caramel tart and English fruit cake. 2. Origin Grill

The most wonderful time of the year is complemented by the culinary team’s three- and four-course lunch sets, available throughout December. Celebrate early and savour mouth-watering creations like citrus-cured salmon served in a pool of dill buttermilk; and jackfruit roll elevated with red cabbage gel. Choice of mains includes the perfectly-grilled Australian Stockyard Angus striploin and local-bred Kühlbarra barramundi bathed in an umami koji rice emulsion. Book here.

3. Monti

A holiday trip to Italy might be out of the question, given the surging Covid-19 cases in Europe, but you can still enjoy an Italian Christmas in Singapore with Monti’s five-course menu. It’s a showcase of classic and contemporary fare—the likes of Hokkaido scallops bathed in a parsnip purée; Acquerello (rice) risotto beautified with chunks of smoked eel; and roasted red snapper. It ends with a palate-pleasing dessert fashioned after a Christmas tree and created using cotton candy, chocolate soil, panettone, strawberries, chestnut and raspberry gelato. 4. Osia Steak and Seafood Grill

Savour juicy meat and seafood platters while swaying to the beat of Christmas jazz music at Osia Steak and Seafood Grill. Meat lovers can look forward to its signature meat option, showcasing irresistible cuts such as grilled Mayura Station Wagyu tenderloin and braised Wagyu cheek. Not a fan of meat? 5. Brasserie Les Saveurs

Brasserie Les Saveurs executive chef Thibault Chiumenti’s buffet menu begins with freshly-shucked oysters and pan-seared foie gras. The briny marine creatures whet the appetite for the holiday roasts—beef Wellington, roasted turkey and honey glazed gammon ham, among others.
Before you forget about sweets, a dessert trolley will be wheeled to your table to entice you with indulgent treats such as light-as-air cinnamon cheesecake, sweet and fruity berries violet yule log, and brandy fruit cake. 6. Cé La Vi

Executive chef Joey Sergentakis’ seasonal menus put a spotlight on festive classics with an Asian twist. Choose the five-course dinner set and tuck into contemporary creations, among which are the scallop sashimi with grapefruit yuzu vinaigrette; pan-seared foie gras with sea urchin; and Wagyu beef short rib with parsnip kombucha purée. 7. Hai Tien Lo

Executive chef Ben Zeng gives your festivities an oriental flare with his six-course menu. Instead of the quintessential honey glazed ham and roasted turkeys, what you’ll get are contemporary Cantonese delicacies. To name a few, you have the deep-fried crispy aubergine and buttery foie gras that are doused in a spicy Szechuan sauce; pumpkin and Alaskan crab meat braised in a rich and creamy sauce; and wok-fried Austrian M9 Wagyu beef. Fire up your Christmas celebration with this Argentinean restaurant’s five-course dinner menu. The spotlight is on authentic Argentinean dishes, of course, so get started with the succulent Argentinian beef tenderloin empanada. It’s a good lead-up to the highlight of the meal—the asado Argentino (Argentinian barbecue). It’s a meaty ensemble of tender and juicy corn-fed chicken, suckling pig, dry-aged Argentinian ribeye, and baked barramundi. As for the much-needed sugar rush to close the meal, the culinary team has added the sinful dulce de leche panqueque (crepes) served with vanilla ice cream and alfajores (traditional Argentine pastries). 9. Ginger

Ginger’s festive buffet is perfect for families who love their meats. It offers classic roasts such as succulent chicken with chestnut stuffing; roasted prime rib with roasted baby potatoes; and tender slow-roasted bone-in leg of lamb. Its mini-Angus beef steak is a must-try, too, showcasing flawlessly grilled Angus steak topped with fragrant winter truffle purée. 10. Mezza9

Planning to dine out on Christmas eve? Mezza9 offers a mouth-watering spread of luxurious red king crab, Faroe Islands salmon, and flavourful roasted duck. Diners will also get to tantalise their taste buds with classic Christmas dishes such as roasted turkey breast, roasted Australian grass-fed Angus beef rib and honey glazed ham. 11. Bread Street Kitchen

The three-course festive menu here showcases traditional British cuisine with a holiday twist. Begin the meal with the restaurant’s signature scallops, delightfully seared with well-loved holiday flavours including spiced pumpkin, pomegranate, and bacon jam. Then, delve into mains of succulent roasted turkey breast accompanied by a savoury chestnut stuffing, pigs in blankets (sausages wrapped in bacon) and roasted vegetables. 12. Kintamani Indonesian Restaurant

Give yourself a break from holiday classics such as turkey and glazed ham and feast on sumptuous Indonesian fare. At Kintamani, you have the “Kinta Natal” sharing set that offers well-loved favourites such as iga sapi bakar Aceh (Aceh-style barbecue beef baby back ribs), and udang bakar Jimbaran (Jimbaran-style grilled prawns). Hotpot is best enjoyed with the family, making it an ideal meal this Christmas season. 15. Publico Ristorante

The chefs at Publico got into the Christmas spirit by crafting a special à la carte menu, available throughout the month. Whet the appetite first with the granchio fritto, which is basically a deep-fried soft-shell crab served on a bed of radicchio Caesar salad and accented with tomato aioli and salsa verde. Another delicious offering for sharing is the pizza boscaiola, which comprises a thin and fluffy crust laden with house-made porchetta, porcini mushrooms and mozzarella. Finished with grated parmesan and red wine glaze for good measure.

In need of more meat? The entrée of manzo arrosto is a beautifully grilled Angus beef tenderloin with sides of crisp purple potato, bell pepper tartare and spicy horseradish salsa. Dessert is a novel version of the traditional tiramisu, served in family-sized portions. Book here.
