The special accolades given to deserving chefs and restaurants in Tatler Dining Guide for their impact and contribution to the F&B industry

Since 1986, Tatler Singapore has been providing gourmands a snapshot of the island’s top restaurants through our annual Tatler Dining Guide. That said, the past year was a whirlwind year for the local F&B scene as we moved on from the now-distant pandemic and witnessed the opening of a multitude of restaurants that joined the island’s top stalwarts. It was another epicurean adventure for our in-house editorial team and expert reviewers, as we checked out new restaurants, sampled refreshed menus, and witnessed how the stars of this highly competitive industry continued to shine. We are excited to share with you our culinary discoveries—all 207 of them, to be exact—in the 2024 edition of our Tatler Dining Guide.

Every year, we recognise the crème de la crème of the F&B scene in the Best of the Year awards. As always, we asked our reviewers and the Tatler Dining Awards panel, comprising seasoned chefs, food critics, and hospitality professionals, to score their chosen restaurants deserving of these accolades. Here are this year’s best in class.

Best New Restaurant and Best Interior Design: Brasserie Astoria

Brasserie Astoria offers a modern reinterpretation of the classic brasserie experience, complete with flambé trolleys, personalised tableside service, and chef-owner Bjorn Frantzén’s distinctive take on timeless delicacies. Its interior design is inspired by the “spirit of the grand dining halls”, and the elegant space harks back to the look of Parisian brasseries that opened at the end of the Belle Époque era—but with a touch of modernity.
