Fiz is one of the truly groundbreaking restaurants to move the needle of the local dining scene. Chef-owner Hafizzul Hashim melds produce from Southeast Asia with well-researched ancient cooking methods and creative modern refinement. While the à la carte menu allows one to assemble their own favourites, the 3.0 Sajian Warisan Full Experience is highly recommended to experience the chef’s intended culinary journey. Memorable dishes include the wild-caught brown tiger prawn, chargrilled and served with a medley of sea grapes and, impressively, sweet albino strawberry from Cameron Highlands. For the main course, the wagyu short ribs bakar is exceptional. The 48-hour sous vide meat and the beran adan nasi lemak (indigenous heirloom rice) make for the best combination to mop up the rich kulai (curry).
