From red carpet glamour to heartwarming awards speeches, here’s what went down at #TatlerBall22 last Friday
“I'll always consider Tatler Ball as the last and best ball of them all, a fabulous way to end the year,” as one Tatler Ball guest enthused on the night itself. We couldn't have said it better.
Despite rainy weather and rush hour traffic on Friday evening, our guests made a grand entrance at the grand ballroom of the Four Seasons Hotel Kuala Lumpur dressed in a stunning array of mesmerising looks inspired by the ‘White Christmas’ theme. Chopard, being the premium sponsor of the ball, lived up to its reputation as a red carpet jeweller, with many of our stylish guests accessorised in its glamorous watches and jewellery. After snapping pictures at the photo wall, guests were ushered into the foyer where a glittering Christmas tree awaited. Under the tree sponsored by The Melium Group were 10 luxury items donated by the luxury retailer that could be purchased by guests on the spot. One hundred per cent of the proceeds would go to Make a Wish Malaysia, OrphanCare Foundation, and Yayasan Chow Kit via Tatler Ball’s GiveAsia crowdfunding page, which is open for donations from now until December 25, 2022.
The Melium Christmas Tree was popular with stylish ladies like Lee Jim Leng, Datin Meera Sen, and Datin Joanna Low. Other esteemed guests like Chopard's managing director of Asia & Oceania Pierre Millereau flew in to Kuala Lumpur to be part of this special occasion.
Guests enjoyed a generous flow of Hennessy cocktails and Moët Brut Impérial champagne as they visited the dazzling photo booth by Tatler Ball 2022 beauty partner Beauty & Co. Art lovers were thrilled to see artist Jackie Tsai’s exquisite artwork and other exclusive art pieces donated by Qing Gallery for Tatler Ball’s silent auction to raise funds for charity. In addition to bidding on the artwork of their choice, guests could also place bids for two Malaysia Airlines Business Class tickets to London and a 3D2N stay at the luxurious The Ritz-Carlton Langkawi.
Inside the grand ballroom, grandiose décor complemented elaborate tableware and place settings by the Four Seasons Hotel Kuala Lumpur, including elegant floral centrepieces by Botier.
Guests enjoyed a fine dining feast prepared by Chef Junious Dickerson of Curate while enjoying the captivating vocals of Tony Eusoff and Ning Baizura Dalton, who doubled as emcees.
