1. Hyun Bin and Son Ye-jin

Hyun Bin and Son Ye-jin first worked together in the movie The Negotiation where they played enemies. They were given another chance to play lovers in the hit K-drama Crash Landing on You.

They were confirmed to be dating in 2021, shortly after the series ended. Last month, the couple also confirmed that they are tying the knot in March.

2. Ryu Jun-yeol and Hyeri

Duk-seon (Hyeri) and Jung-hwan (Ryu Jun-yeol) might not have ended up together in the K-drama Reply 1988, the two were given a second chance in real life.

After meeting on set, the two confirmed their relationship in 2017 much to the delight of fans who wanted their characters to be together. The two are still currently dating.

3. Ji Sung and Lee Bo-young

Ji Sung and Lee Bo-young met while working on the 2004 K-drama Save the Last Dance for Me. While their characters on the show didn’t end up together, the two celebrities got their happy ending in real life.

Ji and Bo announced their relationship in 2007 and got engaged in 2013. They tied the knot the same year and had their first child in 2015. The couple welcomed their second child in 2019 and are still happily together to this day.

4. Nam Joo-Hyuk and Lee Sung-kyung

The chemistry of celebrities Nam Joo-hyuk and Lee Sung-kyung was so palpable in the K-drama Weightlifting Fairy Kim Bok-joo, that rumours of their relationship circulated even before the series ended.

Much to the delight of fans, they confirmed that they’re dating shortly after the series concluded. Nam and Lee met years before working on the drama as both were models before pursuing acting. In 2017, news of their breakup spread but there was no official confirmation. Recent reports in 2021 claim that they have just broken up.

5. Ahn Jae-Hyun and Goo Hye-Sun

Ahn Jae-hyun and Goo Hye-sun worked together in the K-drama Blood and revealed their relationship a year after the show’s premiere. Shortly after, they got married in 2016.

After three years of marriage, the couple revealed that they are separating which surprised fans, including Goo herself.

6. Song Joong-Ki and Song Hye-Kyo

Dubbed the Song Song couple, the real life romance of Song Joong-ki and Song Hye-kyo was such a hot item given their popularity. The two worked together in Descendents of the Sun and despite early rumours of their relationship, they quickly denied it.

They then surprised fans when they suddenly announced their marriage plans in 2017. However, less than two years into their marriage, the two decided to split.

7. Lee Joon and Jung So-min
