With the Crash Landing on You couple set to walk down the aisle together, pundits speculate that the couple will live together in the actor’s luxurious new penthouse

It’s the season of love, and wedding bells are ringing for one of the most beloved Korean celebrity couples: Hyun Bin and Son Ye-jin. Having personally announced their engagement news, the Crash Landing on You couple is planning for their wedding ceremony to be held in March and somewhere in Seoul.

Following their announcement, fans of the ‘BinJin’ couple are wondering if the pair would move into Hyun Bin’s lavish US$4.3 million penthouse that the actor purchased in 2020. The 2,600 sq ft abode is located in the Walkerhill Podoville housing estate in Achiul Village, located near the South Korean capital.

Lavishly designed with an elegant mix of marble and concrete, the contemporary penthouse is decorated with luxurious furnishings and fittings. The home also boasts many modern features, including a state-of-the-art kitchen with an extensive range of appliances.

Floor-to-ceiling windows and a skylight allows natural daylight to stream in whilst framing a picturesque view of the Seoul skyline. Besides an ensuite bathroom, the master bedroom also features an expansive walk-in closet. Hyun Bin’s penthouse unit is also designed with a private rooftop garden that’s perfect for hosting guests.

The apartment complex is also located on secure grounds and offers a very high level of privacy, which explains why a number of South Korean celebrities have also opted to live there. Neighbouring stars include Park Jin-young, veteran singer and CEO of JYP Entertainment, as well as actress Oh Yeon-seo, who reportedly resides in the unit directly under Hyun Bin.

While the actor’s agency, Vast Entertainment, had previously put out a statement denying that Hyun Bin had purchased the home as a marriage nest, many fans remain convinced that it is the couple's new home, especially after the engagement announcement.

If Son does indeed end up moving into the penthouse, the couple will be following the well-trodden marriage path of many South Korean celebrities: purchase a home to live in together, before getting married. Other notable stars that have set similar precedences include actor So Ji-sub and his former reporter wife Cho Eun-jung, as well as power couple Rain and Kim Tae-hee.
