Space Furniture’s Woha-designed showroom on Bencoolen Street set the bar high when it first opened in 2011. Celebrating the company’s 30th anniversary last year, the interiors of the two former historical villas and its modern glass-encased addition have been refreshed to showcase its latest offerings.

The freshly renovated showroom is a haven for discerning homeowners, showcasing a highly curated range of furniture pieces from the world’s most renowned designers, as well as lighting and, notably, plenty of home accessories to cater to Singapore homeowners’ preferences.

Envisioned as a lofty, apartment-like space that embodies the brand’s sustainable ethos, this Best Showroom nominee is a collaborative project of the V-Zug in-house design team and celebrated Singaporean interior designer Peter Tay.

Here, the cabinetry’s understated matte finishes and a tone-on-tone neutral colour scheme let the reflective quality of the mirrored doors on its kitchen appliances shine. This sophisticated opulence is woven in with thoughtful consideration of the environment.

The Italian marble used for the Ion Orchard showroom’s kitchen islands and backsplash applications was purposefully purchased from a local supplier’s Singapore stock to minimise carbon emissions from delivery and installation. The granite floor tiles by Inalco utilise an innovative production process that similarly minimises wastage.
