Grab a bite at these dining places along the newly opened Thomson-East Coast line stations
The Thomson-East Coast line will be opening its third phase on November 13, allowing us to travel with ease all the way from Woodlands to Gardens by the Bay. The third phase sees 11 new stations: Stevens, Napier, Orchard Boulevard, Orchard, Great World, Havelock, Outram Park, Maxwell, Shenton Way, Marina Bay and Gardens by the Bay. With the line beginning in Woodlands and stretching to Gardens by the Bay, our hunt for the best spots to eat has never been easier.
While we have a few more years to wait before the rest of the line opens up, this shouldn’t stop us from exploring the other areas. So, if you are looking to find your new favourite dining spot this weekend, here are five eateries to check out.
Don't miss: 5 Unique Restaurants To Visit This November
1. Grub
Located along Stevens Road is Grub, a casual neighbourhood bistro that dishes up hearty international fare with an Asian twist. Look forward to creative dishes, with popular favourites such as the har cheong fried chicken and waffles. An elevated take on the classic chicken and waffle dish, Grub’s version is served with a juicy chicken marinated in shrimp paste and deep-fried until crispy. Savoury flavours are balanced with sweet notes, thanks to the addition of maple syrup. If you’re not a fan of the sweet and savoury combination, try its succulent grilled ribeye steak, featuring rich beef flavours wonderfully complemented with a spicy and sour chinchalok salsa.
