Hong Kong’s Mostly Harmless will be the one-night abode for Singapore’s Jay Gray of Idle Hands, which opened this summer and is a 14-seat neighbourhood bar where Gray reinvents classics with new flair. You can enjoy Gray’s latest cocktail creations in an intimate setting.

Bar Trigona (#36 Best Bar in Asia’s 50 Best 2023) from Four Seasons Kuala Lumpur is landing at Mostly Harmless for a guest shift. Rohan Matmary, the bar manager, and resident bartender Melvin Lim will shake up the upstairs speakeasy with KL’s most remarkable drinks. This event is also part of the Iichiko Saiten series.

Matt Whiley, known for his zero-waste cocktail philosophy, brings his creations from Sydney’s Re: (#46 World’s 50 Best Bars 2021) to Mostly Harmless. Enjoy innovative techniques and exceptional flavour profiles. This event is part of the Iichiko Saiten series, which makes use of the premium craft shochu from Japan.

Devita Anjani and Agustin Da Sambiagio from Potato Head Bali will serve up signature tropical cocktails from the famed sustainability-focused Balinese beach bar.

Washington DC’s Allegory (#23 North America’s 50 Best Bars 2023) from Eaton Hotel will be in Hong Kong with creative director Deke Dunne shaking it up alongside Terrible Baby bar manager Axel Gonzalez.

Event: The Hanoi Takeover

Two of Hanoi’s best bars will take over Terrible Baby. Sean Halse, beverage manager of Capella Hanoi (home of The Hudson Rooms) will be making cocktails with general manager Collin Nguyen and lead bartender Thomas Nguyen of The Haflington.

Event: Potato Head x Smoke & Bitters

Join the festivities at Honky Tonks Tavern with guest shifts from Potato Head (Bali) and Smoke & Bitters (Sri Lanka). Representing Potato Head are Dré Masso, a mixologist with global acclaim, and Agustin Da Sambiagio, the head of beverage operations. Don Ranasinghe, co-owner of Smoke & Bitters, will showcase Sri Lankan flavours. Enjoy exclusive cocktails and pizza from 5pm to 7pm, followed by unique creations from 7pm to 9pm, with DJ Antoine spinning tunes.

Tokyo’s Virtù, which has just been named the winner of the Michter’s Art of Hospitality Award as part of Asia’s 50 Best Bars 2024 will takeover Caprice Bar on July 14. The guest shift will feature head bartender Keith Motsi, who is also the recipient of Asia’s 50 Best Bars 2022’s Altos Bartenders’ Bartender.

Zuma Hong Kong’s new bar manager, Andrei Makarevich, will showcase his talent alongside Gabriel Gliga, chief cocktail officer of The Pickwicks Chronicles from Bangkok. Gliga will craft four distinctive cocktails, including Yuzu P, Salted Raspberry, Mango Sticky Rice, and Chili 1800. Makarevich will complement these with his Japanese highballs, Tansan Melon and Peach Haiboru.

Join guest bartenders from three of Singapore’s top entries in Asia’s 100 Best Bars for an unforgettable night at Avoca. Enjoy signature cocktails from The Elephant Room (#65), Last Word (#61), and Native (#83). Bartenders include Yong Wei from Native, who focuses on local and regional crafts, Ooi Foo Giap from Last Word, known for his craft and passion, and Yugnes Susela from The Elephant Room, a veteran of Singapore’s cocktail scene.
