The best bartending guest shifts and industry talks to indulge in as the prestigious bar awards arrives in the 852

Hong Kong is due to host the Asia's 50 Best Bars awards ceremony for the first time on July 18, which means that everyone who's anyone in the world of mixology will be descending upon our humble city of 7.4 million for two weeks of cocktail-fuelled exchange (and yes, debauchery). With 80-plus events happening in the lead-up and aftermath of the ceremony itself, the world's best bars—from Goa to Albuquerque—will transform Hong Kong into the the global epicentre of mixology for a brief but glorious moment of time, offering the city's cocktail lovers a globe-spanning cornucopia of flavours to sample from.

We don't blame you if you—like us—are feeling a little overwhelmed with where to begin; so to let your liver rather than your brain do the work, here's our round-up of the best places to indulge in the wonderful world of mixology before, during and after Asia's 50 Best Bars 2023.
