We're lucky that Singapore is a food-obsessed nation and that means we won't run out of delectable dining options—whether you're craving for something French, Italian or Japanese.

1. Moonbow

Veteran local chef Heman Tan is back to woo lovebirds in time for Valentine’s Day at his new restaurant. He is doing it via a six-course menu of modern European favourites laced with Asian accents, and paired with wines for a more memorable date night.

Come with an appetite and feast on Fine de Claire oysters crowned with bafun uni and tomato granita; sous vide duck breast paired with foie gras, chestnuts and edamame beans and drizzled with port wine reduction; and pan-seared black cod enhanced with crispy rice butter sauce and pickled lemon. Dessert is an equally pleasing ensemble of chocolate, peanut butter and pop rocks presented like a cigar.

2. Vue

If you can’t decide between meat and seafood for Valentine’s Day, executive chef Sam Chin’s menu gives you the best of both worlds. It commences with the palate-pleasing seafood platter loaded with fresh oysters, Japanese lobsters, surf clams, as well as blue fin tuna tartare and pan-seared Hokkaido scallops.

Remember that this is only the beginning, so save some space for the Pyrenees rack of lamb and the grilled Kumamoto Emperor ‘Kokuou’ A4 beef, which you can only find in the restaurant. 3. Koma Singapore

Overseas trips are still not possible this year, but you can still surprise your date with a gastronomic journey to Japan at this modern Japanese restaurant. Its inspired design will make you’ve landed in Kyoto, even more so when start tucking into executive chef Kunihiro Moroi’s lavish five-course menu—think scallop sashimi, pickled kohlrabi and tosazu foam, as well as botan ebi and salmon sashimi presented on a platter.

That’s only the beginning as you’ll get to feast on Moroi’s signature wafu carbonara with king crab, and the perfectly cooked lamb rack with Okinawa spinach and Asian mushrooms. Available from February 12 to 14. Book here.

4. Restaurant Jag

The French really know how to throw a memorable Valentine’s Day meal, as evident in chef-owner Jeremy Gillon’s six-course lunch and eight-expression dinner menus exclusive to the occasion. Inspired by the seasonal winter ingredients, he has crafted decadent dishes starring Hokkaido scallops, plum boudeuse oysters, black kingfish cobia and veal tenderloin. 5. Arbora Hilltop Garden & Bistro

Nothing beats the fantastic views at Mount Faber Park, especially at night. Here’s an idea: surprise your date with an intimate cabin ride up to the peak and follow it up with a romantic meal at the bistro.

While overlooking the vista, dig into executive chef Kenny Yeo’s east-meets-west fare—braised baby abalone and smoked Magret duck served with a side of salad that’s showered with a zingy hazelnut dressing; baked lobster topped with Hollandaise gratin and enriched with salsa di pomodoro and a velvety butternut pumpkin mash; and champagne-infused strawberry puree layered with whipped cream and icing sugar. 6. Saint Pierre

Trust chef Emmanuel Stroobant to prepare you a feast for all the senses, and his six-course Valentine’s Day menu Is no different. The luxurious repertoire includes the likes of Hokkaido scallop and cauliflower that’s showered with generous shavings of black truffle; Manjimup marron decked with turnip and finger lime; and Nagasaki sea bass on a bed of celeriac and artichoke. Like a page out of a fairytale, you and your partner will dine within the dreamy Gardens by the Bay surroundings while enjoying executive chef Michael Wilson’s Modern Interpretive cuisine. This style of cooking is all about flavour and texture combinations, as you’ll taste in the Pollen's Scarlet Prawn and filet de boeuf en croute. The former comes with acquerello rice, coriander and lime, while the latter is presented beef Wellington style and consists of Wagyu beef, black truffle and potato. 9. Buona Terra

Fancy an Italian celebration come the Day of Hearts? Let chef Denis Lucchi take care of you with his six-course offering that highlights the finest ingredients of the season. For instance his Crudi Di Mari is a sharing appetiser that consists of fresh raw fish, seafood and 50g of sublime oscietra caviar. 10. Cure

A Valentine’s dinner at Cure is akin to travelling to the rustic coastlines and sprawling grasslands of Ireland, thanks to chef-owner Andrew Walsh’s one-off menu. Partake in delectable bites of wild-caught Irish brown crab, Gallagher speciale oyster and Irish blue mussels. The latter is especially enticing as they are harvested off Shetland Isle, and are coveted for their distinct earthy notes which are a good match to the chowder imbued with cider mussel stock, root vegetables, parsley oil and lavender sorrel leaves.
