Nazrin Sy, the sous chef at Fiz restaurant, is working extra hard this Ramadan period with his home-based business Cuba (which means ‘try’ in Malay). Cuba offers a concise menu of nasi ulam ayam percik buah keluak with keropok udang sambal belacan and salted egg, as well as a set of caneles, which comes in original and pandan flavours.

Nazrin, who operates his delivery business from his home kitchen on weekends, shares that he set up Cuba in the spirit of “discovering new flavours in heritage-inspired dishes from our family’s trove of recipes. It is our favourite memories told in food, using classic ingredients and spices that take us back to treasured moments in time”.  Orders are made through Instagram and deliveries are done from Sundays to Mondays, after 3pm.
