K-pop juggernaut BTS has announced the release of its new album, Proof, on June 10 at 1pm KST (12pm HKT). The album is available to pre-order today (May 5).

Proof, which consists of three CDs, is an anthology featuring BTS’ releases over the past nine years, highlighting the band’s past, present and future.

The first CD is a chronicle of BTS’ journey and consists of 19 tracks. It begins with a remastered version of Born Singer, which is based on American rapper J.Cole’s 2013 track Born Sinner. The song is an exploration of how band members felt right after their debut. The CD then ends with the lead single, Yet to Come (The Most Beautiful Moment).

Meanwhile, the second CD is a collection of 15 solo and sub-unit tracks, all selected by the members. A reflection of each member’s different musical tastes, it opens with a new track, Run BTS.

Finally, the third CD is dedicated to ARMY, the official name of BTS fans. It includes two unreleased tracks, Young Love and Quotation Mark; a new fan song, For Youth, expressing the group’s affection and gratitude to their fans; plus various demo versions of previously released tracks.

A trailer for the new album begins with a retrospective of the septet’s albums over their nine-year career, before revealing the logo for Proof.

“After ceaselessly sprinting forward since 2013, BTS is celebrating [its] ninth anniversary this coming June,” reads a statement from BTS’ label Big Hit Music. “It is all thanks to ARMY, who have sent us your unwavering love and support.”

The band, which consists of RM, Jin, Suga, J-hope, Jimin, V and Jungkook, made history in 2020 as the first K-pop act to be nominated a Grammy for best pop duo/group performance. Last year, it became the first Asian act to win artist of the year at the American Music Awards.
