Chanel treats watches as more than a measurement of time—they are a proper canvas to let its imagination run free
Each year, Chanel introduces a unique theme for its watch novelties, helping to bring a level of consistency and storytelling across its diverse models. In 2023, it was the cosmos. The following year, it turned its attention to its couture. And last year, it introduced the right shade of blue ceramic.
In 2026, Chanel decides it is time to play, turning up the fun factor with the Coco Game capsule collection. Arnaud Chastaingt, the director of Chanel Watchmaking, is inspired by the graphic codes of the gaming universe—think chess, playing cards, and video games. Throughout the collection, one motif looms large—founder Mademoiselle Gabrielle “Coco” Chanel in her signature suit.

The emblematic J12 takes up a significant portion of the 14-piece collection with no less than five references. At the centre is a pixelated Mademoiselle, commanding attention even in the form of a video game avatar.

In the J12 Coco Game, Mademoiselle is the seconds hand, complemented by indexes of brilliant-cut diamonds. It is available in black and white ceramic, as well as a black ceramic set with 12 baguette diamonds on the bezel.

A fourth J12 Coco Game is a regular white ceramic version, but with a pixelated Mademoiselle charm suspended from the crown.

The J12 X-Ray is distinctive for its extensive use of sapphire crystal for a timepiece of optimal transparency. It amplifies effect with the J12 X-Ray Coco Game that plays a game of light and shadow through its combination with white gold. The 38mm timepiece is powered by the manual-winding manufacture Calibre 3.1, whose bridges and plate are cut from sapphire crystal—a veritable showcase of Chanel’s virtuosity in fusing beauty and technique.
