See the best-dressed royals and celebrities who graced the historic event at Westminster Abbey
Westminster Abbey came alive on May 6 for the coronation of King Charles III, which saw many fashionable guests in attendance, including celebrities and royals from all around the world.
For the occasion, Princess of Wales, Kate Middleton, donned regal satin robes, a white gown and glittering pearl and diamond jewels. Guests at the historic event were careful not outshine the British royal or the rest of her family, but nonetheless impressed with their chic outfits.
Seemingly taking cues from Middleton’s sophisticated style, a handful of guests, including Queen Rania of Jordan and Katy Perry, arrived in delightful pastel hues. Others, like Princess Beatrice, emphasised the significance of the ceremony by dressing in shades of purple—a traditionally royal colour. Speaking of traditions, royals hailing from beyond the West, such as Princess Kiko of Japan, opted to showcase their national dress, bringing diversity to the formal dress code.
Discover their stylish outfits below, as we spotlight the best-dressed guests at King Charles III’s coronation.

1. Katy Perry
Katy Perry was bound to stand out as one of the few American celebrities to attend the royal ceremony, but the singer also made sure she wouldn’t be missed by wearing a lilac skirt suit from Vivienne Westwood. The pop star’s pastel look featured a matching hat and opera gloves, with touches of white seen in her handbag and heels. Perry’s necklace, the Vivienne Westwood’s iconic pearl choker, was the perfect finishing touch.
