Go inside the insightful evening hosted at the Tatler House where expert speakers highlighted the possibilities of luxury investment

As the world of luxury continues to evolve, what are the alternative assets that forward-thinking investors can tap on to expand their portfolios? Citi Private Bank and Tatler Singapore joined forces to answer that question during a Front & Female Ladies’ Night held at the Tatler House on 28 July.

The evening saw the entrepreneurial women of the Tatler community gather for an intimate panel discussion that explored the many possibilities and shifting trends of investing in luxury goods. Moderated by Tatler Singapore’s deputy editor Dana Koh, the panel offered illuminating insights from Chan San-San, High Net-Worth Head (Asia) of Citi Private Bank; Angie Chen, curator of The Fifth Collection; and Jasmine Prasetio, managing director of Sotheby’s Southeast Asia.

Chan highlighted how Citi Private Bank tailors it expert services for clients to invest in their interests, from art to real estate. She also described how the bank supports those who are looking to invest with purpose, including social causes like gender equality and environmental ones like combating climate change.

The talk also turned to the importance of collecting with craftsmanship and passion in mind, and guests were offered an insider’s perspective on luxury market and auction trends, courtesy of Chen and Prasetio. At the end of the engaging panel discussion, the speakers took questions from guests and shared their advice on investing in luxury goods like handbags, luxury clothing and jewellery.

The educational evening didn’t end there, however. The stylish ladies later headed up to the Tatler Bar to try their hand at cocktail making through a DIY workshop led by The Feather Blade bartender Kanatip Kantiwong. The exciting session saw guests show off their impressive cocktail mixing and shaking skills, and ended with cheers all around.
