Where traditional ikat techniques and a kaleidoscopic palette abound, so did the champagne, which kept flowing throughout the fashion show, styling session and spots of retail therapy
Adding to cart is an effortless—and dangerously fun—way of shopping. But there’s still something oh-so-satisfying about touching and trying on fashion pieces in-store, and slipping into an outfit that fits like a glove without having to worry whether it doesn’t, or how you are going to return it within 30 days.
This was exactly the case at Ralph Lauren’s flagship boutique at Shaw Centre, where Tatler Singapore hosted a coterie of specially invited guests for an evening of well-deserved retail therapy, and then some. The ensembles up for exploration? Ralph Lauren’s Spring 2022 womenswear collection. Encapsulating the wonders of Central and Continental Asia—and Lauren’s own insatiable wanderlust—were kaleidoscopic prints, breezy silhouettes and the traditional ikat techniques that draw inspiration from global histories spanning Uzbekistan to Indonesia.
Adriel Chiun, Branded Content Editor at Tatler Singapore, hosted a private fashion showcase flanked by tropical botanicals that called back to the colours of the collection. This was followed by smaller styling sessions for guests to get up close and personal with pieces they liked, which interestingly, included a super sleek white-on-white pantsuit topped with a matching beret, and a Wellington backpack in supple caramel-hued leather adorned with gold hardware.
Taking turns at the changing room, guests were also treated to selecting and building customised bouquets at The Flower Bar, for a fresh, blooming gift to take home alongside their shopping bags.
