There’s a buzz in town, and it’s shaped like tiny mischievous creatures. Labubu, those impish, wide-eyed toys, have sneaked their way into the hearts of Filipino celebrities, sparking a collectable frenzy.
In 2015, Hong Kong-born artist Kasing Lung created Labubu as part of a larger group of creatures called The Monsters, which included other characters like Zimomo and Tycoco. These characters were inspired by Nordic fairy tales and were first drawn into children’s books.
