In Sentosa Cove’s exclusive Seascape lies a bespoke duplex designed by Architology Interiors, a home that offers all the coveted spatial qualities of a bungalow in a convenient condominium development with world-class amenities
There are many reasons why Sentosa Cove has become synonymous with coastal living. Singapore may be an island, but its vibrant cityscape often leaves little room to fully experience the tranquillity that defines island life.
Known for its serene seaside surroundings, luxurious residences and proximity to world-class amenities, Sentosa Cove offers a rare opportunity to reconnect with nature while staying close to the city. Rarer still are the bespoke luxury residences built to maximise the enjoyment of dream waterfront living.
Designed by luxury home specialist Architology Interiors, who is the reigning champion of Tatler Homes Design Awards 2024’s Best Show Unit category, this ground-floor duplex unit at Seascape offers a unique chance to enjoy all the spatial luxury of a bungalow, combined with the conveniences of a world-class condominium development.

Beyond its aesthetic appeal, research shows that coastal living significantly enhances both mental and physical well-being. Studies have found that being near the sea reduces stress, promotes better sleep, and improves respiratory health due to the fresh, ion-rich coastal air.
Dr Devinder Singh, medical director at Cadence Heart Centre, attests: “The sea breezes, combined with the tranquillity of the coastal environment, help lower stress and encourage relaxation, which are crucial factors in cardiac health.” Another Sentosa Cove tenant-turned-homeowner, a Swiss entrepreneur, adds: “After 14 years of calling this place home, we couldn’t imagine living anywhere else. Where else can you watch both the sunrise and sunset right at your doorstep?”
With just 17 metres between its outdoor deck and the sea, this “bungalow-in-a-condo” duplex is the epitome of luxury waterfront living designed for a well-travelled and sophisticated multi-generational family.

“This unit is likely the southernmost residence in Singapore,” says Terrence Quah, co-founder of Architology Interiors, who helmed the project. “So, we wanted to celebrate its proximity to the sea and its expansive views,” the interior designer adds.
Spanning 9,655 sq ft, it is a triumph of thoughtful design that prioritises both luxury and comfort. Its six bedrooms all offer views of the lush garden in the foreground and the tranquil waters in the background, while the main living room features an unobstructed 270-degree ocean panorama, wrapped with a generous outdoor deck, a private lap pool and a jacuzzi.
The design of this duplex’s interiors puts an emphasis on understated luxury. Gone are the days of ubiquitous decorative brand logos; in this unit, wealth is articulated through layered textures, carefully curated art pieces, and authentic vintage finds. “One of the most unique aspects of this project was how we curated the decorative objects,” Quah notes. “Each piece was chosen not for its brand, but for its cultural or artistic significance.”

The living room, for example, features a vintage brass tiffin carrier from Singapore, alongside mid-century modern Swedish antiques from Möbler, adding rich narratives to the home’s design. Bespoke rugs from Tappeti in organic shapes complement the neutral colour palette, while strategically angled custom shelving directs attention to the room’s elegant features.
In the dining area, cream leather Cassina chairs surround a timber table with a sculptural metal base from Cattelan Italia, further accentuating the home’s refined style and elegance.
The use of high-end surface finishes, such as Florim’s large-format tiles, continues the theme of quiet luxury on the upper level. Quah opted for a light, neutral colour palette that creates a tranquil atmosphere, while the textures of bouclé, mohair and wood grain add a tactile dimension to the design.

One of the most unique features of the property is the indoor Juliet balcony. Previously an extra common space on the upper level, the area has been reimagined by Architology Interiors as a sitting room wrapped in a glass balustrade overlooking the living room and its double-height ocean panorama. Adjacent to this room is a plushly decorated home theatre equipped with smart, plug-and-play gadgets.
Another key feature of the duplex is its seamless connection between indoor and outdoor living spaces. With two outdoor decks, a private pool, and a jacuzzi in both the master and junior suites, the apartment offers ample space for relaxation and entertainment.
Quah explains: “We designed the outdoor areas to feel like natural extensions of the living spaces, so whether you’re lounging by the pool or enjoying a meal on the deck, you’re always connected to the sea.”

Even the landscaping and accessibility were designed with this philosophy in mind. Soft curves and strategic plantings ensure privacy while framing the apartment’s panoramic views. The result is a space that feels intimate yet open, luxurious yet laid-back—a perfect embodiment of the “bungalow in a condo” concept.
The property also includes basement access through a private, securely gated two-car garage unique to this particular unit.
In Sentosa Cove’s Seascape, this duplex epitomises modern coastal living at its finest. For those fortunate enough to call it home, the blend of natural beauty, thoughtful design and luxurious finishes offers a one-of-a-kind living experience.
