This year’s theme, Green by Design, highlighted the integration of sustainability into every project, demonstrating a commitment to environmentally conscious living.

The eighth edition of the Tatler Homes Design Awards in Singapore honoured the dynamic projects and resilient spirit of local designers and architects, showcasing a creative community brimming with talent and passion. We brought the winning design firms to an exclusive on-site photo session featuring sustainable surfaces as stunning backdrops.

For those unable to attend the celebration, we sent a photographer to take their portraits at work. The result is a visually compelling spread that celebrates design excellence and underscores the importance of sustainability in modern living.

The firm took home the Best Tropical Concept award at the Tatler Homes Design Awards 2024, demonstrating its acumen in leveraging tropical environments to craft delightful spaces.

Donning a Charro cape co-created with indigenous Mexican artists, Molina Hun thanked her clients for their trust at her firm Sujonohun’s Best Modern Minimalist Concept win at the Tatler Homes Design Awards 2024. She co-founded the firm with Sujono Lim in 2015; their portfolio spans the residential, hospitality and F&B sectors.

“At Sujonohun, we strive to create thoughtful and personalised experiences,” says Lim. Each project starts with a discovery phase, which evolves to become truly engaging interior environments. Their integrated design process goes beyond the brief to capture the client’s aspirations, augmented by Sujonohun’s creative inspiration. The result is unique spaces that meld functionality and artistry.

Wilma Wu Studio

For 13 years, Wilma Wu honed her creative vision at HBA and Jaya International under the celebrated designer Jaya Ibrahim. Wilma Wu Studio’s portfolio features luxury residences, hotels and resorts, including the Capella Jian Ye Li Hotel in Shanghai  and Jumeirah Vittaveli Resort in the Maldives.

Welcoming her child just two weeks before the Tatler Homes Design Awards 2024 gala, Wu believes that each interior should honour its origins while embracing the future.

This philosophy shone through in an apartment project that earned Wilma Wu Studio the Best Modern Asian Concept accolade, which was accepted by studio co-founder Ian Lee above.

The firm bagged the Best Adaptive Reuse accolade at the Tatler Homes Design Awards for the 21 Carpenter hotel project, led by Hassell, who is pictured here with his artwork.

The project highlights the firm’s dedication to preserving heritage while breathing poetic new life into spaces. Woha’s innovative approach is all about blending the old with the new, making every project an exceptionally unique experience.

Jakarta-born, Bandung-raised and Singapore-based, Asih Jenie trained in Visual Communication Design at Bandung Institute of Technology and Architecture at Parahyangan Catholic University. She brings both rigour and heart to design journalism, infused with a distinct Southeast Asian voice.

As a child, she doodled on the edges of her schoolbooks and never outgrew her fascination with all things well-made and well-told. Her 15-year career spans editorial roles and bylines in Singapore, Indonesia, Hong Kong and Australia, across spatial design titles such as Dwell Asia, Cubes, Design Anthology, Habitus Living, and Home & Decor.

After a brief stint in public relations, she returned to publishing in 2023 to lead Tatler Homes Singapore, where she continues to tell stories about how we shape the spaces that shape us.
