Tatler Homes Singapore hosted an intimate dinner for the champions of home design and architecture at the Liebherr showroom.
In celebration of Tatler Homes Singapore’s October theme of arts and craftsmanship, we gathered leading names in the industry for an intimate sharing on the future of craft and design in the architectural landscape of Singapore. The dinner was co-hosted by Liebherr, a leading family-run German-Swiss company well-known for their refrigerators, wine coolers and freezers, while the culinary team from Luxe Catering, led by chef Pierre Emmanuel Didier, served a delectable four-course meal.
In case you missed it: How these sleek appliances from Liebherr are the coolest additions to your kitchen
Through a sharing session, Gian Paolo Glueckler, head of Liebherr’s APAC Appliance Division, introduced guests to the history and heritage of the brand. His evocative speech drew murmurs of appreciation when Glueckler detailed how Liebherr chose to hone their expertise in refrigerators and freezers, rather than diversifying into other home appliance segments. To Liebherr, it is important to do one thing perfectly rather than a dozen things in a merely acceptable manner.
True to their word, Liebherr currently manufactures refrigerators and freezers for a myriad of sectors, from private consumers to professional use, and even in labs and the medical industry. The next time you are in a convenience store or supermarket, take a glance at the industrial fridges and freezers used—it might just be from Liebherr.

Held at Liebherr’s showroom, dinner was attended by renowned names in the local interior design and architecture scene: Alam Mulyana, senior associate at WATG; Asami Takahashi, co-founder of Yume Architects; Chio Wen Tian, founder of Chio Architects; Kat Tan, founder of D'Editors; Keat Ong, founder of Keat Ong Design and co-founder of SCKD; Koh Choon Ngee, partner and principal architect of DS Architects; Peter Tay, founder of Peter Tay Studio; Sarah Tham, founder of Cube Associate Design; Tan Yue Wei, founder of YWA Studio and co-chair of Singapore Institute of Architect's Young Architects League.
Dinner was a sumptuous four-course affair headed by French chef Pierre Emmanuel Didier, who has over 12 years of culinary experience under his belt, and set on a tablescape assembled by Singapore florist Fiore Dorato. Dishes such as mushroom tartare, seabass with lemongrass chili vinaigrette, and pan-seared beef tenderloin filled bellies while lively conversations filled the air.
