On March 26, architects and interior designers from some of Singapore’s leading firms gathered at Cosentino City Singapore to celebrate the book launch. The special event featured an intimate conversation with Alan Tay, co-founder of Formwerkz Architects and one of nearly 200 global design professionals featured in the book.

The evening began with a welcome address by Cosentino’s regional marketing lead Asia, Patricia Lyon, who gave an introduction to the inaugural publication. This was followed by opening remarks by Tatler Homes Singapore’s editor, Asih Jenie, who moderated the session.

Against the backdrop of a series of 12 paired images presented in the form of a diptych—featuring Formwerkz’s projects spanning different typologies and scales over the last two decades—Tay and Jenie centered their conversation on the themes of Trends, Inspiration, Methodology, Density, Delight, Materiality and Narrative.

They also delved into the ideas explored in the report and Tay’s thoughts about being a part of the global publication; the inspirations, influences, and challenges that have shaped his approach to architecture and design; and how Formwerkz is transforming spaces and creating functional, sustainable, and inspiring environments. Following the insightful sharing, Jenie opened the floor for questions, further clarifying and exploring the topics discussed.
