Explore the extensive material library and digital tools at the newly-opened Cosentino City Singapore, which serves as a treasure trove of inspiration for designers, architects and homeowners

Step inside a modern garden-inspired haven at Cosentino City Singapore, the new flagship showroom of Spanish architectural surfaces brand Cosentino Group. Designed by the Cosentino City team in Spain, the 4,000 sq ft venue features a lofty 10m-tall ceiling height enlivened by flourishing greenery overhead, comprising multiple areas clad in collections from the manufacturer’s Dekton, Sensa and Silestone brands.

Situated in The Heart at Marina One, the newly-opened store is one of 19 ‘city’-themed boutiques around the world and replaces the brand’s previous showroom location along Duxton Road which opened in 2014. Supported by the regional logistics centre in Gul Avenue, this spacious Singapore showroom also functions as Cosentino's Asia Pacific business hub and headquarters; it also takes a leaf from the island-state's Garden City moniker with vertical gardens and other verdant elements incorporated into the interior.

Aside from the Singapore showroom’s April opening, another store is slated to open in the same month in Tokyo, Japan. Envisioned as a creative centre for designers, architects and homeowners to discover inspiring ways of using materials for their spaces, the Singapore showroom incorporates immersive digital tools, along with open-plan areas where workshops and events will be conducted.

Here, we pick out some of the key highlights in store:

1. Practical Magic

Where better to see the practical benefits of materials than in a fully functioning kitchen? This full-equipped culinary space which will host cooking demonstrations, features the Dekton Laurent collection, a surface with a striking dark brown design with gold veins inspired by the texture of the Port Laurent natural stone.

Additionally, visitors can also explore other gallery areas in the showroom for inspiring ways that materials can be used, whether as flooring, wall cladding, or countertops; these include various applications of the Dekton ultra-slim surfaces, which measure up to 6.25m while having a thin profile that’s just 4mm thick.
