Welcome to Foodie Finds! This is an article series by Tatler, chronicling where and what to order according to the food-obsessed.

I myself have never understood non-foodies. How can one not love flavours, spices, aromas and all the cultural nuances and memories that come with every bite? Dining is an experience meant to be savoured and is even more fun when shared with loved ones. Dining around a table means sharing, conversing, bonding and learning. A dish can tell you so much about a person, a culture, and a country. It speaks volumes of a nation's history and is an art form on its own. Skilled hands are trained over years or are born out of pure passion and practice. Professional chefs and home cooks alike, from young stars to grandmothers, have been cooking up meals filled with emotion and have truly made us foodies, happy.

Through Foodie Finds, we ask our epicurean friends to share their favourites. In this feature, we tackle takeout and delivery. Hear what Instagram influencer Nicole Hernandez De Los Angeles has to say. She shares her go-to shops for takeout here:

1. Casa Luisa

@casa_luisa

I love ordering empanadas, pies, and quiches from Casa Luisa by Jen Gerodias Slagle. I get the empanadas frozen because they are such an easy (and delicious) meal to prep! Just air-fry and serve with a salad and a glass of wine. The perfect meal!

2. Crosta Pizzeria

@crostapizzeria

My family's staple is Crosta pizza. We really love the pepperoni. . .well, actually all their pizzas! They are very easy to reheat in the oven and it still tastes amazing.

3. House of Birria

@houseofbirriaph

House of Birria has the yummiest cheesy beef taco with a dipping consommé sauce. It is a must-try for cheat night.

4. La Grima

@lagrimanila

From La Grima we always order their taco kits! My favourite are the carnitas and the chicken–my kids love this too! My tip is to order additional sauces. I use their “green” and “orange” on everything— baked eggs, salmon, pork chops you name it!

5. Sinfully Sabrina

@sinfullysabrina

Dessert pies from @sinfullysabrina [are so great]! You need to try her triple berry and vanilla custard pie and her peanut butter pie. I once requested for a bigger sized triple berry pie for a birthday “cake” for my husband and it was the best decision!

6. Laguna Cake Co

@lagunacakeco

I love the caviar pie and her Brie pie. If you can’t decide on one then you can get a sampler. These are perfect to have with a bottle of bubbly or wine.

8. Tuesday Bake

@tuesdaybake

To me, they are the best muffins. We love the blueberry and banana muffins for breakfast.

9. Cochinillo Manila

@cochinillomanila

It is seriously the best cochinillo. Order both their sauces: spiced vinegar and the chimichurri. And, don’t forget your rice!

I go to Group and Boiler for their house-made cold brew. It is a great pick-me-up during the day.
