1. Osteria BBR by Alain Ducasse

Chef de cuisine Natalino Ambra now helms the kitchen at Osteria BBR and has introduced a refreshed a la carte menu that features delectable contemporary Italian creations. The latest menu draws from Ambra’s Italian heritage and passion for Italian fare. Savour new plates like the filetto di manzo, a hearty main of tender black Angus beef tenderloin paired with nutty celeriac and fragrant truffle beef jus; and tagliolini. The latter is tossed in an umami-filled seaweed butter and paired with pureed, roasted and crisped zucchini. It’s crowned with luxurious Kristal caviar. Book here.

2. Revolver

Revolver is turning one; in celebration of this significant milestone, this modern Indian restaurant is serving up exclusive menus that put the spotlight on the restaurant’s most popular dishes. Opt for the eight-course Experience menu and dig into tantalising favourites, like the juicy Rock Lobster Manchurian; grilled courgette flower stuffed with prawn balchao (Goan prawn pickle); and Kurobuta pork belly vindaloo. The latter sees succulent Kurobuta pork belly wonderfully charred in the tandoor and served with traditional vindaloo curry. Available from now until September 30. Book here.

3. Bedrock Bar & Grill

Bedrock’s signature 2022 World Meat Series has returned for its third series. The restaurant’s quarterly showcase of premium and lesser known meats from around the world, its latest series will feature Okan Wagyu from the desert-like Pilbara region of Western Australia. Head down and indulge in a five-course dinner tasting menu that puts the spotlight on this lavish beef cut.
 
The night begins with gorgeously smoked Wagyu beef knuckle tartare elevated with apple-wood smoked bone marrow. It’s complete with a 36-month aged Parmigiano and fluffy sourdough bread. Following the tantalising appetiser are decadent mains, such as the twice cooked Wagyu MB7 boneless chuck rib. The main sees minced Wagyu beef and potato patties coated in panko breadcrumbs and fried till golden brown. It’s accompanied with house-made pickled Japanese cucumber and aromatic applewood smoked egg yolk. Available from September 6 to November 30. Book here.

Senior executive sous chef Paul Hallett and executive pastry chef Ming Choong has revamped Skai’s afternoon tea spread, now offering a range of bite-sized treats with Japanese accents. Start at the savouries and tuck into mouth-watering gems like the foie gras bun and pumpkin éclair. The former is a treat comprising foie gras cured in salt, sugar and wine marinade. It’s balanced with a tangy raspberry marmalade and a beetroot bun. The latter is a savoury eclair generously stuffed with roasted pumpkin and house made hummus. Save room for dessert and dig into sweet creations like the Japanese sweet potato cheesecake that marries cream cheese and aromatic roasted sweet potato. Book here.

5. Gyu San

An extensive range of Japanese sandos await at this Japanese butchery cum sando shop. Delight in sandwiches layered with premium Japanese Wagyu cuts, procured from various prefectures around Japan. Beef lovers will not want to miss out on the Gyu katsu striploin sando, featuring gorgeously marbled A5 Japanese Wagyu deep fried until golden and sandwiched between fluffy shokupan. If you’re not a fan of beef, the ebi katsu sando is layered with a juicy deep fried minced shrimp patty and homemade tartare sauce.
