Best New Restaurant – Mōdan
Fresh on the scene and already making massive waves, Mōdan’s freshman menu is an ode to all those who have helped shape chef-owner Jorge Mendez’s culinary life, with each course dedicated to a person that has left an indelible mark on him. Through all the artful and intelligently prepared dishes, diners will notice that every morsel of food is treated with precision and care. Woven into every bite is a piece of chef Mendez, as he vulnerably tells his story with each of us through this poignant tasting menu, which we believe is the best in the country.
