Immersive dining experience is nothing new for the team at Fire & Ice, having been the same people behind the interactive train dining experience previously.

An interactive space perfect for events or gatherings, the central space that peeks into the kitchen gives entertainment throughout the course of your meal. A large LED display on the ceiling, customisable to match the theme for any and all occasions, it’s the perfect place to add your personal touch.

The Humboldt Co

Artistic in its interior, Humboldt separates itself from the rest of its counterparts in Bukit Damansara by offering a well-rounded experience with their food and cocktail offerings.

South American inspired, the name derives from the ocean current that flows from Chile. A large portrait of a penguin demands attention, nodding to the Humboldt penguins from the region. A great offering for both alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks, it’s a great place to enjoy shared plates amongst pals, perhaps even pushing your typical boundaries as a diner with their menu.

Sunnies

A new brunch spot that is sure to encapsulate the dream summer vibes, the baby sister of Tanned in Publika has arrived. The interior transports patrons into a space reminiscent of a vintage diner, adorned with little details of vintage magazines and old jazz playing.

Their menu certainly brings an aura of brightness, in case that was what you needed in light (or should I say dark) of the recent gloomy spell. Some highlights on the menu include hearty brunch classics, including smoked duck waffles and eggs Benedict. Make sure to also try their risotto, and of course, pastries!

SOL

Drawing inspiration from its Latin roots, SOL is the newest addition to the Olive Tree Group, a rooftop bar and restaurant perched atop the 40th floor of The Met Corporate Towers, adding to its growing dining scene.

Offering 6,000 square feet of space, expect panoramic views as an accoutrement to your main dishes, which include their assortment of asado—an array of meats and seafood cooked over their charcoal grill. Some of their must try items are their claypot seafood paella and six-hour pulled lamb shoulder.

Vagabond

Co-founders chef Woon Ming and chef Daniel Gerrard Kong brought their international gastronomy expertise back to Kuala Lumpur after their combined slew of restaurant experience abroad.

Their cooking style is an amalgamation of their backpacking adventures across Australia, where they would host dinner parties in hostels, introducing guests around the world to Malaysian food, which they hope to bring back to their own venue. What you can expect from the duo is a blend of their love for Southeast Asian cuisine that puts local produce first, in the setting of a typical Australian neighbourhood wine bar.

Stefania

Stefania is headed by chef Diago Reali, a third generation chef from Italy with mission to bring authentic Roman cuisine to Kuala Lumpur. Reali was previously of Cinnamon Group’s Nero Nero, Natalina, and Brasa.

The restaurant is a tribute to his mother, Stefania Cristofari, a renowned chef in Italy with a heritage restaurant that dates back to 1958 called Hosteria Amedeo. The menu boasts comforting Italian classics, along with a hearty wine list. Tucked on a quiet street in the busy city, this moody, romantic restaurant could be your next perfect date night spot.

Fiancée

The new kid on the block is Fiancée, a sister cafe to Second Date Patisserie, which has recently opened up its doors in The Met Corporate Offices. With a fusion of east and west, the menu highlights Western dishes with an Asian twist. Find treats such as Red Date Goji Latte, Tempura Prawn Brioche Roll, along with an array of other dishes and pastries.

Besides their food offering, their interior design is something one can awe at. With floating koi fish and white fabric draped intricately across the ceiling, the room presents itself as soft and welcoming and gives hints to their fusion approach to food, with eccentric pops of red to give it some personality.

Obvi Pizza

Branching off the cult favourite pizza spot, Mokky’s Pizza, Obvi Pizza is where you can get your pizza fix in Ara Damansara. In a cosy spot upstairs, they’ve created a homey space filled with low-key decor pieces for you to share some pizzas with pals.

If you stop by, make sure to try out their Pepperoni Playboy (named after a Mac Demarco song) made out of beef pepperoni, beef sausages, and topped with red onion. Another fan favourite would be the Earthy pizza. It is lathered with a spinach creamed cheese sauce and sautéed mushrooms, an OG flavour that dates back to pre-Mokky’s.

Lachér Patisserie

Following the success off their Lachér-to-go spot in Plaza Conlay for their signature petit cakes (petit gateaux), Lachér Patisserie has branched out to The Met Corporate Offices (which seems to definitely be the new hot spot!), and are expanding their repertoire to include viennoiserie offerings.

In addition to their cakes and tarts, they will now be offering pastries, including croissants and danishes, both sweet and savoury, including the Gochujang Egg, Beef Ragu, and Portuguese Egg Tart. To wash that down and extend your time in the beautifully curated space, they have a great array of drinks —think dirty matcha and iced chocolate.
