Here’s our guide to café-hopping made easy with the help of public transport

If you’ve ever been in the mood to spend a day jumping from one of the Klang Valley’s many cafés to the next but have stopped yourself on account of e-hailing fares or the struggle of finding empty parking spots, we’ve got you covered.

Although our public transport system may not be the best, you’ll almost always find public transport accessible dining venues across the city.

From Taman Paramount’s One Half x Ilaika to SS18’s Shikomi Coffee and Pasar Seni’s Pucks Coffee, here are eight cafés you can visit by hopping on a train or two.

One Half x Ilaika

Taman Paramount LRT Station

Before the days of Taman Paramount’s reputation as the edgiest suburb in the Klang Valley, many knew it by its slew of great local eateries and its eponymous LRT station. Now, hopping on the Kelana Jaya line and getting off at the Taman Paramount stop will take you to some of the suburb’s best bars, cafés, and restaurants.

A must-visit when in Taman Paramount, though, is One Half x Ilaika where you’ll find award-winning brews and a selection of pastries. Besides your usual coffee order, opt for its watermelon espresso tonic or a single-origin chocolate creation.
