The team behind the LQV venues and its specialist wine, cheese, butcher and fine food shops are opening a new wine bar and lounge called Terroirs by LQV in Central. The new venue is wine-focused but will also offer French food in an airy space above Lyndhurst Terrace across two terraces, a bar and seated dining area. Inside, an interior by Hong Kong-based designers LC Studio lends soft hues and rustic textures in the form of wood, stone and terracotta.
The bar houses an incredible list of more than 2,000 wine references with bottles ranging from below HK$500 and going up as high as HK$220,000. A lunch menu is set to launch in September, but for now, food is available from 3pm and includes French classics such as pissaladière, a Provençal tart topped with onions, olives and anchovies, and a crowd-pleasing croque monsieur made with truffle ham and 18-month comté on homemade bread.
