Melvados is paying homage to Singapore’s 57th birthday with the introduction of two new cakes: orh nee cake and ondeh ondeh cake. The former is a decadent slice combining the soft coconut flavour chiffon with creamy yam filling made from pureed yams. Each slice offers rich coconut flavours and earthy yam notes. The latter is an upsized version of the iconic Peranakan dessert and presents freshly grated coconut soaked in thick gula Melaka syrup and sandwiched between fluffy layers of pandan leaf infused sponge.
