The excitement is real for the Canadian superstar's upcoming live concert in Malaysia in October 2022

It's official! Justin Bieber will make his highly anticipated return to Malaysia this October with a live concert at Bukit Jalil National Stadium for one night only on October 22, 2022. The recently announced dates for the pop singer's World Justice Tour in Asia include shows in Jakarta, Nagoya, Osaka and Tokyo to follow the KL performance.

Tickets to the concert, priced from RM288 and upwards, will go on sale next Thursday on March 31, 2022 at 11am. The event is open only to vaccinated individuals (those who have completed two doses of the Pfizer, Astra Zeneca, Sinovac vaccines or one dose of the Johnson & Johnson and CanSino vaccines after 28 days).

As Malaysia's international borders reopen on April 1 in the nation's transition to the endemic phase, fans and netizens have been ecstatic about the news of the pop star's return to Malaysia after 10 years (following his MTV World Stage Live appearance back in 2012).

Content creator, style influencer and all-out 'belieber' Marisa Soraya says, "If you had known me over a decade ago, you’d know I had full-on Bieber Fever, it was the scary type (LOL). I heard Baby the other day and I was shook that I could rap all the words to Ludacris' part with no hesitation. That was when I knew the OG belieber still lives within (haha)! It was the announcement that all of us needed after the two-year pause. Watching all the festival posters outside of Malaysia definitely got a whole lot of us in FOMO mode but look, patience is a virtue! We got blessed with the Biebs. I'm counting down the days to October 22!".

Meanwhile, TV host and emcee Serena C says she and her daughter Chloe are 'beyond excited!', adding: "Chloe said she's willing to let go of all her angpow money to buy concert tickets to see Bieber."

It’s been years since my last concert and I can’t wait for Justice!

We can also count on the ever-glamorous Datin Wira Sabrena Dani to snap up her concert tickets quickly. "I'm super stoked that Bieber is coming back to KL to perform! It’s been years since my last concert and I can’t wait for Justice!" she says.

The Bieber fever has also made its way to the home of Zalora's head of strategic partnerships Sarah Illyas. "My kids are huge fans and they want to go for it. I was talking to my husband about it and he literally said 'Oh, does this mean I’ll have to carry you on my shoulders again?'. Our daughter also wanted to be on his shoulders, so we were joking that he will have to take turns carrying us!"

Bieber fans or not, it's safe to say that Malaysians are happier and more hopeful than ever for the return of more international acts to our fair city after the challenging past two years. Keep on belie-bing, fam!
