Starry Eyes

Omega has unveiled new additions to its Constellation Small Second models, which now measure 34mm, perfect for those with smaller wrists. Choose between Sedna gold (an exclusive 18-karat rose-gold alloy that Omega debuted in 2012), stainless steel or a combination of both, as pictured on Chinese actor Dongyu Zhou.

Down Under

Zenith has teamed up with Australian website Time + Tide for a limited-edition watch nicknamed Night Surfer. Bold, brave and brazen, the watch’s skeletonised dial is refined and complex, housed in a 41mm case in dark grey titanium that comes with a bead-blasted matte finish. It’s limited to 100 pieces worldwide; get yours for US$9,000.

Racing Red

Richard Mille is known for its state-of-the-art ladies wristwatches—and I want this one bad. Limited to just 50 pieces, the daring RM 07-10 Racing Red takes its inspiration from the watchmaker’s eponymous all-women racing team and it certainly doesn’t disappoint. The three women drive Roxy, a blood-red Oreca Gibson that’s steered the design for this gutsy timepiece. Powered by the CRMA2 calibre, a shockingly complex in-house skeletonised automatic movement, this eye-catching wristwatch is housed in a light and sturdy TPT Quartz case.

In Full Bloom

Dior has added two new timepieces to its magnificent Grand Soir Botanic collection, which celebrates its founder’s life-long passion for flowers, something that was often depicted in his floral-accented embroidery and haute couture works. Each watch is limited to 18 pieces, each equipped with a quartz movement and time-setting corrector, and boasting a breathtaking dial inspired by gardens, infused with romance and delicacy.

Leaving a Legacy

Limited to 88 pieces, the latest addition to Breguet’s Tradition line bears all the hallmarks you’d expect from this collection, including a playfully offset dial. The rose-gold Tradition 7035 is elevated by a mother-of-pearl hours display, which sits above a fully exposed movement that’s engulfed by dazzling diamonds.

Drive On

Inspired by American sports cars from the 1960s, Breitling’s Top Time Classic Cars capsule collection has watch and motorsports enthusiasts alike revving their engines. Choose between three models: the Chevrolet Corvette, Ford Mustang and Shelby Cobra, each of which boasts its own signature retro colour, from racing red to green. The line won’t be limited to a specific number, but its watches will only be produced for one year, so we advise you act fast.

Floating on Air

Cartier has released three mesmerisingly pared-back timepieces which the jeweller has dubbed the Rotonde De Cartier Precious Icons Set. Each watch is limited to just five pieces and boasts hands that appear to float in mid-air. This is achieved using two crystal discs, which are seamlessly secured into each watch’s metal edges.

Blackout

The Bulgari Bulgari Black timepiece beautifully combines the finest Italian design with sophisticated watchmaking mechanisms. The hyper-masculine monochromatic look of this watch is both bold and modern, making it perfect for a collector who wants something playful and easy to style.

Into the Future

Contemporary and complicated, Gruebel Forsey’s latest sports watch is limited to 88 pieces worldwide and is available with a matching integrated bracelet in lightweight titanium. Exposed mechanics include a balance wheel and escapement, which sit alongside bold charcoal-grey bridges for an ultra-modern look.

More is More

Eleven new models of Audemars Piguet’s iconic Royal Oak Offshore have been unveiled. Presented in titanium, pink gold and stainless steel, five come in a new 43mm case that houses the watchmaker’s newest flyback chronograph movement, Calibre 4401, which allows the wearer to reset the stopwatch function more easily. Another three measuring 42mm have been reworked for the first time, using a Petite Tapisserie dial complete with subdials, while an additional two 42mm automatic flyback chronographs are presented in stainless steel or titanium with either light blue or khaki dials. A final addition comes in 18-karat white gold and boasts a black ceramic bezel and crowns.

Built to Last

Bell & Ross is instantly recognisable because of its use of square cases with rounded dials. So, if you’re after a wristwatch that’ll withstand the elements and attract attention, the BR05 Horolum Night is for you. The light grey sandblasted case, which comes with a matching bracelet, measures 40mm and looks dangerously dramatic against liberal lashings of C5 Super-LumiNova, which coats the watch’s indices, as well as its hour and seconds hands.

Dress Up

Launched with a grey dial in 2021, Armin Strom’s Tribute 1 is a refreshing interpretation of a dress watch thanks to its thin in-house calibre and stunning hand-finishing. Fast-forward to today and the watchmaker has released five additions dubbed Tribute 1 California, equipped with brightly coloured fumé dials, which crackle against a black hand-guilloché plate made by Finnish watchmaking genius Kari Voutilainen.

Easy Upgrade

A self-winding watch, also known as an automatic watch, allows the wearer to use it without having to wind it each day, whereas a manual watch must be wound by hand, or sometimes with a special tool. Chanel’s latest J12 watch is the first of its size—33mm—to be powered by an automatic movement, which is certified by the COSC, or Contrôle Officiel Suisse des Chronomètres, a Swiss testing institute that assures the timepiece’s accuracy.

Green With Envy

First introduced in 2017, the Manero Flyback has quickly become one of Carl F Bucherer’s most sought-after models. We’ve seen a dramatic increase in the number of green dials launched by the likes of Patek Philippe, Piaget and Tudor over the past 12 months, and now Carl F Bucherer has come out with its own take on the celebrated colour trend. The Manero Flyback Green comes in a 43mm stainless steel case that’s adorned with retro-looking mushroom pushers.

Who Runs the World?

Rolex’s Oyster Perpetual Lady Datejust hit shelves in 1957 at a time when women were casting off stereotypes and beginning to experiment with their own sense of style. The watchmaker’s founder Hans Wilsdorf broke new ground with the model’s 28mm case size and quickly cemented the watch’s reputation as the ultimate classic women’s timepiece thanks to its robustness—the case’s middle section is crafted from either 18-karat gold or Oystersteel, a rust-free alloy—and its distinctive design. Choose from domed, fluted or gem-set bezels, as well as a variety of materials, colours and motifs.

Time Machine

In 2020, American rapper Swizz Beatz challenged De Bethune to create a watch that plays with our concept of transparency and light. The resulting timepiece is a mind-bending blend of sapphire crystal and blued titanium that’ll amaze even the most discerning of collectors.

Hear Me Roar

Maker of collectible handbags and delicate perfumes, Hermès is also known for its exceptional timepieces, and the French house has now designed a dial that pays tribute to Singapore’s status as The Lion City. Inspired by a silk scarf designed by Alice Shirley for the Hermès spring-summer 2021 collection, this watch is made using a gold base, on which varnish is applied and a motif is transferred, that’s brought to life using gold threads.

Motor Noise

The Laureato Chronograph Aston Martin Edition is Girard Perregaux's follow-up to the watchmaker's popular Laureato Chronograph. Specially for the release, Girard Perregaux has partnered up with British car manufacturer Aston Martin Lagonda and, together, the duo have dreamt up a glossy green chronograph, which has a diamond-patterned dial that takes an astounding 21 layers of paint to achieve. It pays tribute to Aston Martin's iconic quilted seats.

Got Your Six

Two stylish chronographs, which boast stopwatch functions, have been added to Panerai's line-up of robust wristwatches. Choose between the Luminor Chrono Flyback Ceramica, which comes in a bold black ceramic case and the Luminor Chrono Flyback Verde Militare, which comes with a masculine military green dial and luminous numerals. Made out of stainless steel, Tatler loves the latter, which is secured onto the wrist with a matching leather strap.

Wearable Art

The Reverso Tribute Enamel Hidden Treasures series by Jaeger-LeCoultre pay tribute to three iconic artists: Gustave Courbet, Vincent Van Gogh, and Gustav Klimt. These stunning timepieces are like canvases for the wrist, with Jaeger-LeCoultre using the reverse dial side of its swivelling Reverso case as an opportunity to reproduce paintings in miniature using guilloché decorative techniques. The pictured model is inspired by a Klimt painting, Portrait of a Lady (1917), which was stolen in the late 1990s from an exhibition in Italy. Thankfully, it was recovered from the gallery’s grounds in perfect condition by a gardener just a few days later.

Taking Flight

Jaquet Droz’s spectacular hummingbird-themed watch is complicated, in more ways than one. Limited to just eight pieces worldwide, this stunning timepiece is powered by a self-winding mechanical movement that provides 38 hours’ worth of power reserve. The white-gold dial features a mother-of-pearl sub-dial that’s surrounded by plique-à-jour Grand Feu enamel. If that weren’t enough, the case sparkles with 100 diamonds that weigh a total of 0.89 carats.

Listen On Repeat

Patek Philippe’s Ref 5304 has it all. A self-winding Grand Complication wristwatch, it boasts a minute repeater, which chimes the time on demand, and retrograde perpetual calendar, which features a central arc with a date track and a small arrow that reverts back to one at the end of the month. This highly-coveted model is now available in rose gold as well as a gem-set bezel, lugs and fold-over clasp, which are collectively set with 80 baguette-cut diamonds that weigh over six carats.
