From classic tuxedos tailored to a tee and eye-catching textiles to a daring suit-skirt ensemble, the men of the Tatler Ball 2022 dressed to impress
The Tatler Ball is known for bringing out the best gowns from society's most stylish ladies. However, this year, the men did not shy away from the spotlight as they displayed their knack for more daring and creative looks. From crystal-beaded pieces and studded suits, our debonair gentlemen dazzled as they donned both local and international fashion labels.
After a two-year hiatus, the men came out only in their sharpest suits fulfilling above and beyond the black tie motif but with a more fashion-forward twist! This goes to show that menswear has evolved throughout the years. And our guests are certainly ahead of the curve.
Here are Tatler's picks of the best-dressed men at the ball:
Crowd Favourite: Hayden Kho

It takes guts to wear white in a black-tie event. But Hayden Kho took it even further with this jaw-dropping all-white ensemble! Baggy pants and chunky boots might spell casual to most but it's all about the details: the intentionally monochromatic colour story, the garments' impeccable construction, completed by Tiffany & Co's 1965 Bird on a Rock brooch. It's a risk that surely paid off, making the celebrity doctor stand out from the crowd.

Most Fashion Forward: BJ Pascual

A name that is no stranger to best-dressed lists, BJ Pascual wore a Gucci look that is as edgy as it is glamourous. The renowned photographer wore a chic studded suit with contrast stitching ("Very Gucci," BJ said in his 'Get Ready With Me' mini-vlog series) on top of a coral pink silk shirt. Truly a fashion darling, he styled this getup with jewel brooches and a velvet ribbon bow tie.

Most Whimsical: Jojie Dingcong

Count on Jojie Dingcong to defy the menswear convention. The talent manager to the stars wore a suit dress that makes for a strong sartorial impact inside and beyond the ball. Don't miss Jojie's brooch, teashades, and ring accessories that give off a subtle hint of steampunk aesthetic.
Most Unconventional Tie: Mond Gutierrez

Speaking of statement pieces, Mond Gutierrez donned perhaps the most striking tie that night. His all-black ensemble is tastefully punctuated with a lavallière that extends throughout his upper body. What a way to spruce up an outfit!
Most Dapper: Scott Woodward

Most stylish men do so by having restraint and striking the perfect balance of class and thrill. This is perfectly executed by Scott Woodward as he showed up in a deep blue velvet suit with a suave fitting at the most anticipated ball.

Best Classic Look: Loy Saguil

If you need a definitive example of formalwear, look no further than Loy Saguil in a pristine white suit. The business maverick looks no less than dashing in this sleek white tuxedo.

Best Barong: Tristan Seisa

There is no question that our national costume is a nationalistic statement as much as it is a sartorial piece. And Tristan Seisa proves just that. The intricately embroidered details on his barong elevate the staple formal wear resulting in a debonair look by the entrepreneur.
