Find out how to get your hands on the limited-edition sneakers in Singapore

Tiffany & Co is once again rewriting the rules of being a jewellery brand, this time through a collaboration with Nike.

The two brands have come together to unveil the limited-edition Air Force 1 1837 sneakers—or what they’re calling a “Legendary Pair”. These are the first sneakers to be officially branded by Tiffany & Co, most notably via the Swoosh logo that comes in the jewellery brand’s signature Tiffany Blue.

The shoes are also “legendary” in that they mark the 40th anniversary of Nike’s bestselling sneakers, which have been embraced over the decades by basketball stars, rappers, models and celebrities and elevated as a cultural symbol. In 2021, the late designer Virgil Abloh shook up the world of luxury fashion by launching Louis Vuitton Air Force 1 sneakers. And now Tiffany & Co is set to do the same in the luxury jewellery space.

The Air Force 1 1837 sneakers will launch in two Tiffany & Co locations in New York: the Tiffany Flagship Next Door, and Tiffany & Co Soho. For fans in Singapore and around the world, the shoes can be purchased via Nike’s Snkrs app on March 7—fastest fingers first, of course. The shoes are priced at US$400, and while run in men’s sizes from US 3.5 to 18.

On top of sneakers, the Nike x Tiffany & Co collaboration also includes limited-edition objects made of sterling silver, the American jeweller’s signature metal. The pieces include a whistle, a shoe horn, a shoe brush and a dubrae for laces that come in the Tiffany Blue colour. The pieces are also engraved with logos from both Nike and Tiffany & Co, and will launch exclusively on the latter’s website in the US.

Tiffany & Co has been distinguishing itself from other jewellery houses through its coveted collaborations. Most recently, it launched a special edition of Fendi’s Baguette bag, tapping on its New York roots. Last year, it tapped onto the cryptocurrency craze through an NFT collaboration with CryptoPunks. And its Nike partnership can only be matched by its sold-out collaboration with Supreme in 2021, which fused luxury jewellery and streetwear.
