Here’s a rundown on the best of style this December 2024

As the year comes to a close, we bring you another exciting roundup of fashion and jewellery highlights. This December, we had the pleasure of exploring new collections, attending exclusive previews, and reconnecting with some of our favourite familiar faces in the Tatler sphere. Just in time for the holiday season, we’re spotlighting several pop-ups and retail residencies across Metro Manila—perfect for those on the hunt for a last-minute gift for that stylish someone.

Tiffany High Jewellery

Tiffany & Co hosted its first high jewellery showcase in the Philippines, featuring over forty exquisite pieces. The event unfolded in an intimate dinner at Manila House, where guests adorned themselves with stunning creations from different collections, including Bird on the Rock and HardWear. Guests toasted champagne and delighted in each other’s company, celebrating a remarkable year in style.

Renz Reyes’ ‘Codex of Design’

Renz Reyes teams up with the PHx Fashion Group for a three-month retail residency at the concept store Comme Ci in Powerplant Mall. The collaboration highlights Reyes’s distinctive design codes and marks a significant milestone in his career as he embarks on a journey as an independent designer.

Jor-El Espina opens his first Manila atelier

Jor-El Espina opened his first atelier in Manila following years of honing his craft in his home province of Iloilo. Located on Arnaiz Avenue in Makati, the space is home to bespoke and ready-to-wear pieces, including selections from his newest cruise collection. “We didn’t just want to build a space to showcase our designs. Our intention was to create an immersive experience for our clients,” Espina comments.

Tropa opens in PowerPlant Mall

The concept store Tropa has officially opened its doors at Power Plant Mall, offering a curated selection of designs both local and international brands such as Carl Jan Cruz, Jos Mundo, Áraw, and more. Shoppers can explore an array of stylish options, including stylish resort wear, locally crafted shoes, distinctive jewellery, and other carefully chosen pieces perfect for any occasion.

Fashion Another: Another Pop-Up

The designer collective Fashion Another marked the success of their first project—a pop-up at Karrivin Plaza’s Under Maintenance. This independent initiative is a collaboration between notable local labels Bagasáo, Nicolò, Novel, Proudrace, Randolf, and Kelvin Morales. United by a shared vision, the group aims to redefine Filipino fashion through the lens of community, camaraderie, and shared values—breaking free from conventional industry standards.

Holiday Designer Sacs by Guava Sketches

Renowned stylist Michael Salientes teamed up with Guava Sketches to curate a collection of limited edition tote bags designed by a mix of visual artists and fashion designers, including Garapata, Edya 1929, Jer Dee, Just Banigs, Louis Claparols, Studio Roman, and Yuko Kanatani. Each tote features the distinct aesthetic of its curator and are available in limited quantities.
