Fans of Bling Empire will know that Jaime Xie is a regular at Paris Fashion Week, and the spring/summer 2023 season was no different.

Early this month, the stylish star of the Netflix series hit some of the most exciting fashion shows of the season.

“My favourite collections were Loewe, Schiaparelli, and Balenciaga,” shares Xie. “Ever since Daniel Roseberry became creative director of Schiaparelli, I’ve always looked forward to seeing his collections each season. Whether it’s couture or ready-to-wear, he never disappoints and it’s always something fascinating, exciting, and unique. The attention to detail is exquisite and I felt that I was able to appreciate it more since it was a presentation.”

Balenciaga, as always, was one of the highlights of Paris Fashion Week. And Xie agrees, saying, “Balenciaga is a special show for me and I always feel honoured to be a guest. The mud show was definitely one to remember and I fell in love with the potato chip bags and totes that the models could stick their hand through like a sleeve. Demna is a creative genius and attending a Balenciaga show feels like you’ve entered into a different world.”

Another standout show this season was Loewe, which Xie, unfortunately, didn’t attend. “But I wish I was there because the collection was so whimsical and colourful,” says Xie. “The shapes of the dresses and tops really caught my attention since I’m someone that loves to have fun with fashion. I tend to wear pieces that are more ‘out there’, so everything to me was eye candy.”

As for her most unforgettable moment of Paris Fashion Week?

“The spray-on dress that Bella Hadid wore for Coperni’s finale,” she says. “It was a really cool moment because it blended tech and fashion. My father works in the tech world and I am in fashion so it’s always really beautiful for me when the two intersect.”
