From vintage Dior to Chanel tweed jackets, see the best outfits on the Netflix show from Anna Shay, Kane Lim, Christine Chiu and more

Between the decadent lifestyles of its stars and their petty fights, Bling Empire is certainly not short of moments that will leave you speechless.

Now back for Season 3, the hit Netflix show centred on Los Angeles’ richest Asians also has another trick up its sleeve: the outrageous outfits. Whether having an intimate dinner or hanging out with friends, the fashion-obsessed cast of Bling Empire dials up on the drama when they get dressed up. How about dining in a crystal-embellished suit, like Jaime Xie? Or strolling around the city in a ballgown a la Anna Shay?

Below, we round up all the unforgettable Bling Empire style moments we can’t stop thinking about, from the likes of Kane Lim, Christine Chiu and more.

Kane Lim made quite a statement with this bomber jacket that’s completely covered in miniature stuffed animals. It’s super kawaii and shows that the Singapore-born millionaire knows his fashion trends, given that the late trendsetter Virgil Abloh unveiled similarly playful designs for Louis Vuitton menswear two years ago.

2. Christine Chiu’s flapper fashion

Christine Chiu proved that she can easily pull off any colour by pairing her brown coat with a vibrant orange minidress. With her hair slick back, the Tatler Singapore cover star even resembled a 1920s flapper—which is fitting, considering that she made it to Dancing With The Stars.

In her face-off with Chiu, tech heiress Jaime Xie wore a monogram minidress from Dior’s fall/winter 2000 collection. The vintage dress, designed by John Galliano, featured a thick gold chain at its neckline, so Xie could dial back on her accessories.

When dining with Anna Shay and Kevin Kreider, Xie would wear a look from that same Dior collection. This time, she sported a denim jacket and jeans covered in Dior’s newspaper print—made famous by 2000s style icon Carrie Bradshaw of Sex and the City.

5. Kane Lim in Chanel tweed

Chanel tweed is not just for the ladies, and just as fellow Asian style star G-Dragon did before, Kane Lim wore one of the French fashion brand’s signature tweed jackets and styled it with a Chanel logo necklace. His jacket came in green, which Chiu, possibly throwing shade, remarked was “the perfect colour”.

Ever on trend, Xie seemed to come straight out of the 2000s in an all-pink ensemble including a ruched top, a Chanel purse and vinyl leather pants. But our favourite detail were her shoes—from Blumarine’s spring/summer 2013 collection, as she proudly shared with her friend Kane.

Anna Shay isn’t one to shy away from colour, as she showed us on her trip to New York. The heiress enlivened the city with an elaborate ruffled red gown that was embellished with gold sequins and brilliant matched her hair. Not your typical New Yorker outfit, but then again Shay is never typical.

Xie showed off another daring fashion look when dining at Chiu’s house. Her ruffled tulle minidress was a creation by breakout Japanese designer Tomo Koizumi, who has dressed the likes of Lady Gaga and Rina Sawayama. Xie’s dress certainly made her blend in with the floral decor around Chiu’s dining room.

Chiu may hate playing the villain on Bling Empire, but she wears it so well. She attended the Schiaparelli couture show at Paris Fashion Week in a dramatic black cape that screamed Maleficent, elegantly styled with gloves and a shorts set. She certainly had a powerful presence on the front row.

Of course Jaime Xie got her hands on the biggest fashion collaboration of 2021: Gucci x Balenciaga. Putting the bling in Bling Empire, the style maven arrived to dinner with a crystal-bedazzled logo jacket, one of the sparkling standouts from the collection that has also been seen on Beyoncé. Taking her look to another level, Xie even wore a crystal Gucci nose ring that Anna Shay helps her adjust to allow her to eat. Just as Xie says in her unboxing video on YouTube, sometimes you have to suffer for fashion.
