Mark your calendars: this month, there will be a new retail destination in town. Yuán: The Apartment will be located on the top floor of PMQ and will house three distinct female-founded brands: Perk by Kate, Rhapsody in Gold and Sol the label. Perk by Kate, founded by Kate Low, hails from Singapore. The brand aims to elevate lingerie through craftsmanship and designs, from elegant lace to comfortable everyday essentials.

The second brand, Rhapsody in Gold by Lillian Pau re-imagines Chinese character jewellery to capture emotion, auspicious meanings and memories into modern 18k gold heirlooms. The brand is dedicated to preserving the beauty of handcrafted jewellery as well as celebrating the rich cultural heritage of Chinese characters. Finally, Sol the label, founded by Gen.T honouree Lois Tien, continues to champion sustainability through “SelfWear”, a new category of loungewear and sleepwear encouraging customers to focus on comfort and self-care. The store will house a broader collection of self-care, sleepwear, sleep essentials and leisurewear from Sol.

Tien says:  “We believe that well-made products are the ultimate outlet for self-expression and we are excited to offer our customers a one-of-a-kind shopping destination that embodies ease, luxury and conscious living, celebrating them and the luxuries they deserve.” Yuán opens its doors to the public on April 20.

Palazzo Versace opened the first of its luxury hotels in Asia within the Grand Lisboa Palace Resort Macau in March. The hotel is evocative of an Italian Palazzo, and Versace’s Milanese heritage and signature flair are immediately evident.  For its grand opening on March 23, the brand's chief creative officer, Donatella Versace, personally flew in for the occasion and hosted a fabulous celebration, made only more exceptional by the A-listers in attendance. Her entourage included Chrissy Teigen and superstar John Legend.

Guests passed through the Jardim Secreto where renowned harpist, Yu Dan and the quintet from Macau Orchestra gave musical performances, before entering The Grand Pavilion for Versace Signatures, a curated display of iconic Atelier Versace and Versace ready-to-wear designs.

The evening concluded with a banquet dinner of Chinese cuisine accompanied by traditional entertainments, such as a drum performance by a group of young talents from Macau, followed by a surprise music performance from Legend, who serenaded guests with songs including his classic ballad All of Me. In attendance were Daisy Ho, Timothy Fok, Versace global ambassador Rosy Zhao, Laurinda Ho, Beatrice Ho and Gigi Chao. The opening marks the second Palazzo Versace to exist, the first one was opened in Dubai in 2015.
