1. Take him for a movie in the sky

You know how dads seem to really enjoy being couch potatoes after a hard day at work? This weekend, why not spend some quality time with him while engaging in his favourite activities with Movies in the Sky?

Movies in the Sky will be taking place at the iconic Skypark Observation Deck in Marina Bay Sands and guests will be invited to bring their own headphones so they can connect to the audio while they lounge in custom-designed recliner floor sofas and watch classic films.

The films change regularly but over the Father’s Day weekend, Free Guy will be playing. The movie follows a mild-mannered bank teller who learns that he is really a background character in an open-world video game. The film has action, comedy and drama and is the perfect family film.

We all know that food is the way to a man’s heart so this Father’s Day, why not spoil dad with a meal that has been curated by some of the best chefs on the island?

The best part is that Tatler has done all the hard work for you with our list of the best restaurants to spoil dad with this weekend here.

From Bedrock Bar & Grill’s three-course lunch menu that features gravlax-style salmon, applewood fire-grilled tenderloin and a chocolate pot de crème to Racines’ semi-buffet that sees extensive seafood and meat selections, there’s something for every tastebud out there.

3. Go on a staycation

If you really want to spoil dad this Father’s Day, why not surprise him with something different by splurging on a relaxing staycation for him?

A gorgeous hotel suite, deck chairs by a glimmering pool, buffet breakfasts and a (temporary) reprieve from regular life, there’s honestly nothing better.

4. Attend a workshop with him

Thinking of buying dad a new wallet? Take it a step further by taking dad to a leather-making workshop where he can make a wallet of his own.

Crafune is a store that offers a variety of leather-making workshops that include making a bifold wallet of your very own. Each wallet you make will use premium vegetable-tanned leather and will have eight card slots and a cash compartment. You can even add a coin compartment if you wish.

The workshop takes between six to eight hours so it will be a great bonding experience.

5. Go for a grooming session with him

Dads are notorious for not prioritising their own self-care and grooming. If your dad is the type to get a quick and convenient haircut over a lengthy and luxurious one, why not treat him this weekend to a lovely grooming session at a high-end barber?

You can treat him to the Sultan’s Haircut at Sultans of Shave which includes a consultation, haircut, massage and wash. For an extra special treat, you can add on an express facial.
