Our dads are so important. They are usually the quiet but strong figures in our lives who cheer us on, provide advice and support us in subtle ways that we sometimes forget to thank them for all they do.

This Father’s Day (on June 19), Tatler has specially curated a list of gifts that you can consider for your dad. Whether your dad is into fitness or loves to cook, we have something for every type of father on this list. Discover them below.

If your dad loves his wines, he is going to love Penfolds’ new Max’s Rosé 2021 which will be available for the first time in Singapore at the pop-up at T Galleria by DFS.

The wine, a tribute to former Chief Winemaker Max Schubert, is crisp and textural with the sweet taste of red summer fruits and rhubarb coming through clearly.

If dad is not a fan of Rosé, you can also get some of Penfolds’ classic wines in a gorgeous new and limited-edition space-themed gift packaging.

Shop at Penfolds’ popups at Great World and T Galleria by DFS.

2. Glenfiddich's Grand Series

If dad is more of a whisky lover, you need to get him Glenfiddich’s new Grand Series range, which recently debuted in Singapore.

The range features three single malts, the Gran Reserva, Grand Cru and Grande Couronne, and are elegant marriages of luxury and tradition with every sip.

The Gran Reserva has been mellowed for 21 years in meticulously selected American and European oak casks and finished for six months in Caribbean Rum casks while the Grand Cru provides a lighter finish after being matured for 23 years in hand-selected oak casks.

The crowning glory though is the Grande Couronne which has been aged for 26 years before receiving an extended finish of two years in rare French cognac casks.

3. A coffee subscription

Is your dad obsessed with coffee? Consider spoiling him with a coffee subscription from Nespresso.

It comes with a Nespresso coffee machine at just SG$1. You simply need to pick your machine and your plan (which depends on how much coffee dad drinks in a day) and you’re all set.

The machine will be delivered to you and dad will receive credits every month after the monthly fee is paid. Credits can be used on any Nespresso products including coffee and accessories.

The best part is that you can keep the Nespresso machine at the end of the 12-month subscription period.

12. Attend A Workshop

Thinking of buying him a new wallet? Take it a step further by taking dad to a leather-making workshop where he can make a wallet of his own.

Crafune is a store that offers a variety of leather-making workshops that include making a bifold wallet of your very own. Each wallet you make will use premium vegetable-tanned leather and will have eight card slots and a cash compartment. You can even add a coin compartment if you wish.

The workshop takes between six to eight hours so it will be a great bonding experience.

For the Dad Who Prioritises Self-Care:

13. A Heated Back Cushion

Our dads definitely endure a lot of pain—and not just from mum's nagging—but most likely from years of working and driving with (typically) poor postures.

This Father’s Day, elevate your dad’s workspace with a heated Homedics back cushion. This ergonomic pillow is activated with the push of a button and offers a removable heated cover that emanates gradual warmth over a two-hour period to soothe and loosen stiff muscles.

The pillow also offers adjustable height settings and has a spring-loaded torsional design that helps to reduce pressure on the lumbar and thoracic areas of the spine. We don’t know about you but we are seriously considering buying one for ourselves as well.

14. A weighted blanket

It’s no secret that our dads very often (and unfortunately) lose sleep worrying about us and working to provide for us. This Father’s Day, why not gift him a good night’s sleep in the form of a weighted blanket?

It is essentially a therapeutic blanket that can weigh anywhere from five to 30 pounds. It is intended to replicate deep pressure stimulation which can relax the nervous system and relieve pain.

Weighted blankets can also reduce nighttime levels of cortisol, a stress hormone that affects our sleep and bodily functions.

Just pick a blanket that is appropriate for your dad’s weight and needs and you are well on your way to giving dad the most relaxing sleep of his life.

15. Blue Light glasses

Does your dad spend hours of his day working on his computer? You may or may not have heard him complaining about his eyes feeling tired or worn out due to excessive screentime. Get him a pair of anti-reflective blue light glasses that can help shield his eyes and block or filter off the higher range of the blue light spectrum. MVMT offers a range of stylish and versatile lenses that he can wear with just about any outfit.
