Within that evolving landscape, Chay Concept emerges as a connective space, bringing together disciplines in one intimate exhibition of painting, music and remarkable sensory exploration.
Blending exhibition with musical performance, Chay Concept is a layered experiment steeped in the quiet essence of Hue—unhurried, contemplative and sincere, yet leaving behind a resonant echo.
Held on 10 and 11 May 2025 at the Le Ba Dang Memorial Space in Hue, Chay Concept is an interdisciplinary event, featuring both a painting exhibition and an evening of experimental music. Curated by art editor and curator Ngo Kim Khoi, the programme unites local and international artists, creating a meditative space where sound, memory and visual expression converge.
In the heart of timeworn Hue, Chay Concept offers something close to the ethereal—a meeting ground for different forms of art to unfold side by side. The choice of venue, Le Ba Dang Memorial Space, only heightens this promise as an “altar of art” treasured by the city.

On the opening day of the exhibition, visitors will encounter “Circle of Life and Death”, a body of work by emerging artist Pham Tran Viet Nam. Though young, Viet Nam’s paintings carry the weight of many lived lives. They read like fragments of memory—layered, frayed, unresolved. True to the Chay Concept theme of “art for humanity”, the Organising Committee will contribute five per cent of proceeds from artwork sales to the Le Ba Dang Creative Fund – a gesture intended to sustain future artistic ventures and support emerging talent in painting.
Following the opening ceremony on 10 May, the exhibition “Circle of Life and Death” will remain open to the public from 11 May to 8 June 2025, at Le Ba Dang Memorial Space.
