Prestige Global Designs transforms this restful sanctuary, an oasis for hosting, into a celebration of luxurious textures and elegant motifs
Singapore-based, award-winning luxury interior specialist Prestige Global Designs recently transformed a 6,200 sq ft, five-bedroom semi-detached house in Bukit Timah into a luxuriously welcoming abode. It is home to a family of five: the homeowner, her husband, mother, daughter and son.
To fulfil the homeowner’s wish for a contemporary abode embodying luxury and optimal spatial functionality, principal designer Jeremy Tay employed innovative space-planning techniques emphasising both aesthetics and practicality. “Our objective was to create an air of contemporary luxury while optimising the functionality of the various spaces within the residence,” he explains.
Neutral colours, refined motifs and richly textured materials create a sophisticated yet inviting ambience. Key pieces from renowned brands, intricate lighting fixtures and bespoke finishes realise the vision of an oasis for rest and elegant hosting.

Layered Warmth

At the heart of the communal spaces is the living room, dressed in neutral tones and rich textures that radiate warmth and refinement. Circular pendant lights illuminate the plush sofa and coffee table, creating an inviting focal point. The homeowner’s collection of eclectic objects lends the space a distinct character, while a grey marble feature wall with striking veins anchors the design. An abstract rug adds colour and also serves to ground the space. Sliding doors open to the outdoor pool area, establishing continuity between the indoors and outdoors.

A few steps away, the dining area impresses with a voluminous ceiling that bathes the room in natural light. A cluster of Bocci pendant lights, reminiscent of a whimsical cloud formation, casts a soft, diffused glow over the marble table. Chairs upholstered in tactile fabrics surround it, contrasting warmly with the marble top’s subtle veining. Adjacent to this is a charming outdoor area that encourages an effortless flow between indoor and outdoor living.

A Study in Tone

A breakfast island is positioned between the dining space and the kitchen, providing visual and functional continuity. Another display area showcases the homeowner’s distinctive taste and interests, further enlivening this zone. In the kitchen, cabinets in contrasting tones elevate the look while ensuring efficiency and practicality. Spacious white countertops offer both beauty and utility, creating ample working space while drawing attention to the cabinetry.

The powder room, conveniently located near the dining area and kitchen, accommodates both guests and pool users. The walls and flooring, in soft, neutral tones, are offset by a striking black marble vanity, enhancing the room’s sophistication. A portable marble table lamp emits a warm glow, thoughtfully illuminating the space.

Serene Elegance

Upstairs, the home’s private spaces serve as tranquil havens for rest. The master bedroom’s warm, neutral palette cultivates a soothing ambience. An elegant bedhead is set against botanical wallpaper, harmonising with its surroundings. Warm-toned bedside tables are set under pendant lights that add a refined glow. Gold-trimmed wardrobes line the room, and one of the homeowner’s artworks above the desk provides a focal point for creativity. The master bath continues this theme with warm tones, bold marble and granite surfaces, and brushed gold and bronze fixtures. Awash in backlighting, it complements the bedroom’s tranquil mood.

Soft hues and tactile materials envelop the homeowner’s mother’s room, where a silk-like headboard surface offers both comfort and elegance. The daughter’s room is warm and inviting, with a bamboo-inspired wallcovering and rattan furniture evoking a natural, outdoor spirit. A dark wooden table provides contrast. The son’s room adopts a darker palette, where a grey wallcovering and dark fixtures create a refined, confident air.
“It was the joy of seeing everything come together—transforming bare walls into a warm, inviting environment—that was deeply satisfying,” Tay shares. Completed after six months in early 2025, the house now serves as a treasured space for the family’s daily lives and shared memories.
