Wayne Yap of WO Atelier on how to curate a bedroom that exudes quiet luxury
“Quiet luxury in interiors is defined through harmonious design elements. It incorporates a neutral colour palette with textures, subtle accents and a curated selection of furniture and lighting,” explains Wayne Yap, executive director of WO Atelier.
To curate such a space, Wong believes it’s crucial to establish a vision for the room. “Consider and visualise the desired mood and overall aesthetic. Then choose furniture crafted from premium materials and texture for tactile appeal,” states Yap.
Luxurious fabrics for bedding and curtains are essential, while lush area rugs provide a cosy underfoot sensation.

“The choice of furniture should feature clean lines, graceful curves, and timeless design. Don’t forget that implementing organisational systems and storage solutions keep the space free from visual distractions,” he adds.
Yap believes a bedroom exuding quiet luxury is timeless and vital for well-being as the aesthetic emphasises comfort and serenity, thus promoting restful sleep and relaxation. “The indulgent experience of such a bedroom adds a touch of luxury to everyday life, making one feel pampered and cherished,” he concludes.
